  1. Some friends know, none of my family knows.
  2. CONGRATS! Can't wait to get to mine
  3. Hi Everyone.. Kinda off topic, but Canada related. Do you know how our surgeries (if done outside of canada) affect our taxes?
  4. I went to Mexico with the OCC clinic with Dr. Ortiz. I had a very positive experience. There isn't a Doc in Edmonton that will do fills on Mexico patients yes, however one of the docs is looking into it. IM me if you have any questions.
  5. AHHH THE PAIN!!!! I'm 3 weeks post-op. I went to the gym today, and did a 40 minute speed walking session.. It felt GREAT at the time. Once I got out of the gym and to my car my stomach/esophagus weren't very happy. I'm having HUGE amounts of pain and was wondering if anyone has had the same thing?! (I have e-mailed my Doc, but it's the middle of the night and I don't think I can wait)
  6. I was banded 3 weeks ago... I think it's when I eat to fast?! Would that make sense... Cause I NEVER have it in the morning, and then I do have it after I eat. It's so weird.
  7. I've been getting a strange pain around my collar bone (left side). Sometimes tylenol helps, other times it doesn't... any ideas?!?
  8. Agreed, as previously stated.
  9. DaMomb! Exactly! Thank you! I'm also looking up to see if I can find a support group in my town. I know there's only a few of us banded, but meeting would probably help!
  10. I was probably most frustrated about my clinic not being as supportive as I expected them to be. I wish they could have encouraged me to keep going instead of telling me "NO, stay on clear fluids only" and ending it there. But I guess that's just another excuse for what I did wrong! But like I've said - back where I'm suppose to be.
  11. Donna113 Thanks for most of your reply. I agree, I am addicted to food, and i was probably (without knowing) looking for an enabler. It's nice when someone can put it like you did. Like I've said, I've gone back to mushies and will continue till next week. I wish I could have been stronger, and not failed myself, but at least I've recognized my mistake and hopefully I haven't done any harm.
  12. Thanks so much!! It would be wonderful if I could get them done in Edmonton... even if it's a bit of money... it's either pay for the convenience of having it in Edmonton, or drive somewhere and pay in gas
  13. Everyone reacts differently to different kinds of treatment - I prefer to be supported when I'm down. I don't think too many ppl enjoy hearing the "know it alls" when they feel like shit.
  14. DaMomb, TQUAD64, thank you for your support... this is hell.. I've gone back on mushies, and i'm letting myself eat any kind of mushy i want. The pre-op diet was easy compared this . I needed support to help me get through this... and not someone to judge and act like they know everything :cursing:
  15. I'm in Edmonton, but willing to go pretty much anywhere. So, if I have a prescription from my doc the fills are free? Are you getting yours free in Grand Prairie??
