I am due for a fill, but can't get in to see the doc for another 3 weeks. This will be my first fill. Meanwhile, I'm really hungry and am not losing much weight. I'm being very careful but I've not been able to get to the pool for exercise. I have arthritis in my knee so they advised against walking outside the water. Any thought about what to do about the hungry thing or even the exercise that I'm not getting. I'm feeling pretty frustrated at this point and want the weight off so that my knee starts to feel better.
  2. I was banded on Oct 3rd and I took 2 weeks off too. I just didn't feel up to moving around that much for several days, and I had to force myself to get to walking. Give yourself a break, we just had a fairly major thing happen to our bodies...everyone is different so let yourself have time to heal. We are so good at being hard on ourselves aren't we. I'm back to work this week, but I'm still tired and sore.

I'm new to this site and the surgery. I was banded Oct 3, in Mexico and am having troble finding a doc to do fills so I will try Dr Fitzpatrick. I use lots of protein powder to stave off the hunger and hopefully not to get back into the starvation mode I've seen a bazillion times before. Still on soft foods for one more day. Then a little worried about how the fills will go etc. So far though 20 lbs gone and I wouldn't go back either. Have gotten a couple of sticky things a little bit stuck, but not too badly. The really small bites are a little bit hard to get used to, sometimes I am just not mindful enough and forget to chew things up enough. It is definately a learning process, to chew things to water consistency. You go girl, feels good to be eating better doesn't it.
