Oh what everyone says is true. I was banded in Oct 08 and have plateaued 2 times. Major plateaues. Like a month at a time. As soon as I started journaling and exercising more, I started loosing. They are key!!
I just read the info from BamBam and I also was not eating enough. My doctor just told me that I needed to up my calories to 1000. That will cause the body to start burning. However, the exercise is also very important!

It is interesting to see the variety of answers there are to this question. It seems the majority of people eat between 800 and 1500 calories. My doctor told me to stay between 600 and 800. I try. I've lost 45 lbs in 3 months. There are days I eat more than 800 calories and I'm fine with it. The exercise is important.
I haven't figured out how to update my ticker. It's not right.
Thanks for sharing. I am only 3 weeks post-op and all this information is good for us to hear. It helps to prepare us and help us keep our minds on why we got banded to begin with. Thank you!!!
Hi Clv
I had my surgery 10/3/08 - I also drink Isopure - they have 40 grams of protein and they come in different flavors, punch, rasberry, applemelon, pineapple, etc. There are also NEW WHEY bullets. They are 3 oz, 42 grams of protein. They are also different fruit flavored. You can get them at health food stores, GNC, etc.
Hope this helps.
