  1. Hi! Thank you for the compliment! It has been a daily thing to have gotten this far. I have gotten fills about every 4-6 weeks as my loss has been slower (I don't have insurance that covers the fills either). In the beginning I do remember having those binge eating episodes, those become fewer and fewer as the restriction increases. The restriction is a great tool. However, I find it frustrating at times! I miss being able to eat a hamburger without the fork! However, I would be banded again! Keep up the great work. Stay on top of the fills-that is what keeps the weight comming off! Nicki, LaPorte CO Dr. Johnell, GreeleyCO 302.6/210.5/165?
  2. Hi! I am new to this site. I was banded 4/4/06 in Greeley by Dr. Johnell. I live in LaPorte CO, (just outside Fort Collins). I have lost a total of 92# including the weight I had to lose before surgery. I have approx. 40-50# to go until goal. If I go to the surgeons goal I only have to lose another 35#, but I want to lose a little more than that. It is good to see surgeons in other areas as my husband and I are thinking of moving to Walsenburg and one of my fears was not having a band Dr. in the area. Hope to hear from some of you soon! 3. Kellijo Hi! How did you meeting go with Dr. Johnell? Have you had surgery yet? Nicki LaPorte 4-4-06 302.6/271 Dr. Johnell
  4. Hi! I live in LaPorte, CO which in just northwest of Fort Collins. I was banded April 4, 2006 by Dr. Johnell. I liked him, my husband was a little disapointed with him as Dr. Johnell forgot to up date my him as I came out of sugery. Otherwise, it has gone well. My next appointment will be on Monday for my post op. Let me know if you have any questions I can answer. Nicki
  5. Hi! I was banded on April 4, 2006! My emotions range from being excited about my new up coming life to feeling guilty that I couldn't get the weight off by any other means. I have one incision that is really sore, I don't think it is the port site as the one that hurts is really small. I can feel grumbling in my stomach and intestines. I don't know if that means I'm hungry or if things are just getting back to 'normal.' I still feel really thirsty. I am going to work on getting more liquids in. I am hating this 1oz every 15 minutes. I am looking forward to learning more about this new chapter of my life. :scared: Thanks, Nicki
