  1. Hi Everyone, I am still in the early stages of setting up the banding procedure. In fact, I just went to my primary care physician today and got the referral to the nearest Gastric Bypass Center for the first consult. I met with my psychiatrist, who told me he would give his OK on the psych evaluation. I have an appt with my cardiologist next month anyway, so hopefully I can get his OK as well. I have seen a pulmonologist recently, so hopefully that wonl't be a problem either. What should I expect at this point? I am trying to research online and know a few people who have had the gastric bypass surgery, but it would be helpful to hear from some people who have actually gone through the lap band process. I would really welcome your comments and support. Thanks. Barbara
