I am glad to hear someone else knows what I am going thru. Do you have ur ekg on u? My rate was 101 (which i guess after 100 its considered tachycardia, so just wondering how high exactly it is. I dont drink coffee.. i am under a lot of stress though, with my hubby about to loose his job. Thank you for your response!

EKG Problems??
OK, yesterday i did my EKG and they found TachyCardia (fast heart rate) and then Premature Ventricular Contractions. What is pathetic is I am 24. OK, so have any of your drs, seen this on you, and if so did they still go forward with surgery?? Im kinda scared to hear from my dr. Anyone else get other issues in their EKG?

It was painless, and easy:D I met with dr baggs, id say the most nerve wracking moment was the blood pressure cuff, lol, it lasted forever.. He let me sit where i wanted, asked which surgery i wanted, showed me a band, talked about the dangers, asked my hubby what he thought, was HAPPY to see my hubby even though mike was MR NEGATIVE, then said ok let me try to schedule u with the case manager. (I was there the 2nd,and nobody else was working) I had to end up calling monday. ONLY ADVICE, try to be at goal:D AND ask questions.

I dontknow who she is. It was not the nutrition chick. They said it would take 30 min, and it was a weight check, and to look over my tests and something else, but dr baggs thought it was repetitive and not needed. I think they are trying to empty up the case managers schedule and thinks that is how??? Idk

Im nervous id like to be in mushies by the time march 22 gets here for my convention. How did ur post op diet go? Was 2 weeks of liquids hard?

Ok here is my idea:D More protein, heavier proteins last longer, oh and the water. Here is the thing though if you burn 1000 cals, they say you need to eat that amnt ontop of the 1200.. so if i were to burn 1k cals in a day id eat a 1700 cal diet that day.. Maybe try a protein shake? Or protein bar.. I really hope that helps. After a while of following the 1200 you wont starve.. when we eat out we both (hubby and i) cant finish so it gets easier!:tt2: I promise

Hi! Ok so I also do not understand why they have one case manager! And why we have to see her. I can't wait to call monday to see how far out my case manager appt is. I also can't wait for monday I am huge for support:) And it will be nice to get to meet everyone and see "less and less" of each other until Christmas  Hope everyone has a great weekend!

I am excited that we are all here for each other also. Makes me not feel soooo alone:) All i recommend is after orientation start the diet, try and loose 10% as fast as possible, that will push you thru the program!:tongue2:

Ok so, today was my surgeon appt All went spectacular, got there got weighed :cursing: then went in to meet Dr Baggs. Very nice man. He asked which procedure i wanted, and told me it was the best option. He said with my bmi that I should get a very good weight loss with it, and maintain. He said with the RNY the chances of malnutrition are very high, and it's not a safe option when I know I want another baby. So LapBand Im stickin to, I asked about the % of success charts you can find, and he said 1st off you have to look where you find them, most are trying to get the higher paid surgery, 2nd the lap band is newer. There are a lot of bands out currently, so they can't say what the loss is in 5, 10 and so on years, but it is made to stay in us for a loooong time and be adjustable for life. (unlike bypass) So now, I get to get my case manager appt on monday, and i told him id like to have the surgery sooner then later because i have a trip in march.. he said it is achievable. So we will see, but kaiser richmond has 1 Case Manager for ALL OF US! So talk about a busy schedule!!! So i also got all my labs ordered gotta go do those asap, then the pre op class, then he said OR..:tongue2: wow, scary! But exciting, but scary lol.:thumbup:

How strong of a tool?
You know if you look at my history of what I have posted, you will find that I asked a very similar question. I think we all get "cold" feet. I went to orientation Nov 4 came home and in 2 weeks lost like 15 lbs so was like do i really need surgery.. so I posted a question on here.. I did get some nice answers and one person said "you cant do it on your own" That made me even more want to. Well here i am almost 2 months from Nov 4, and I did the Psych appt and I meet with my surgeon fri, i was going to quit but the cold hard truth is, i have been fat my whole life. I am scared to see me thin.. so i am putting on some slippers and getting the surgery! I know I can probably loose it all on my own, but, will i be still at goal in 3 yrs after i get more lazy on my diet? NOPE no way! Just keep going to your appts and loosing weight you have up until u are about to go into or to change your mind.
