  1. I take welbutrin and talked to my doctor before the surgery about how to handle this since it is a timed release medicine. She had not hesitation it having me take the pill whole. She also is okay with the pill form of vicadin and not the liquid. I know so many others are concerned with swallowing a whole pill but my doc says it is okay; I'm 3 days post op and have had no trouble with it. Check with you doctor again ... to see if you can just take the pill.
  2. I'm in, mine was Oct. 10th:biggrin:
  3. Hi Lisa, Thanks for asking the question that many have probably wondered about but not comfortable asking. I am newly banded but that is one of the questions I was going to ask my doc on my next follow up. I wish you the best in your upcoming surgery in Nov
  4. I weighed in the morning before I had surgery and the next day when I got home using the same scale. OMG I went up 9lbs after the surgery? Someone told me it could be from all the sodium and Fluid from the IVs but I can;t imagine 9lbs! And if I'm right it wouldn't be air causing it because that is weightless right? Any thoughts? veejee:frown:
  5. Hi, I just got banded yesterday and pretty uncomfortable today but very excited as you all know how the months before we are so anxiously waiting for the day. One thing I've realized is that different doctors have different types of pre op and post op diet plans. I have gone to a Rhode Island doctor and was on a liquid pre op diet for 2 wks prior to the surgery, while my friend has gone to another RI doctor with no pre op diet requirement. I'm a little unsure of the post op diet other than the first week so I'm hoping get some feedback here. veejee:wink:
