Thanks Donna. I chose Dr. Rodriguez because I could drive there.I was looking in to Dr. Rumbaut but, then I lucked in to Dr. Rod. The cost was 6800.00 and we spent about 300. on gas and eating. I took my kids also, it was great. I chose to go to Mexico becuase our insurance doesn't pay for weight loss surgery.I live about half way between Dallas and Whitcha Falls.

Well, I did it I was banded yesterday.(april 21) Dr. Rod is great and he knows his stuff. He also has a smile that lights the room. The hospital stuff are very caring and willing to help in any way. Barbara ( my pateint avocate) is wonderful!!!! She is so full of knowledge and easy to talk to. She really took the edge off. There is nothing wrong with Acuna. We shopped,ate at Crosby's (superfood and super staff.) We have really enjoyed our trip. Acuna was the way to go for me. We head home tomarrow and I am starting my new life!!

Iam scheduled to go to mexico 4/21. i am using Dr.Rodriquez in Acuna. His price is7300.

I was alittle at first but,I know other's who went and are doing great. Acuna isn't that far and it will be a mini vacation and a start for the inproved me. I would do it closer if my insurance but, I don't really want to be in debt forever, I still have kid's to sead to school.So, right now this is best for me.

Hi Shackdog and good luck. That's about the price around here too. I plan to go to Acuna which isn't that far of a drive.I am not looking forward tothe pre op diet. I always want it when I know i can't have it. So, I will be hungry.

Hi MaryB, good question, Iam still looking at that. Dr. Rodriguez in Acuna wouldn't really be that far. That may be my best bet. But, still looking.

I have not been banded yet but, hope to be asap.I will be a self-pay so,getting fund's together. I live north of Dallas but, plan to be banded in Mexico. I am really excited and ready to go. I have been reading here and like the help everyone seems to give. I will take any advise you have.
