Hi. Five days postop from VSG and Tijuana here. Let me tell you, I felt exactly the same way you do! I just didn’t know how that would make sense. And I was very apprehensive. So I went ahead and got my passport Here’s what happened. They drove me from San Diego to Tijuana and we never even got stopped. Driver said that they never get stopped because it’s important to Mexico to get as much revenue as possible, so they’re not gonna stop in American. I don’t know what truth that is those are his words. When I came back over from Tijuana into San Diego. We went through the medical lane and it was fairly fast. Probably about 20 minutes. But to be honest with you. She looked at my passport for three seconds and handed it right back to me. She did ask if I was presenting a passport or a birth certificate. Hope this helps
