  1. What makes you think that GBP is easier. I'm just curious and continue to be unsure as to which direction I will go.
  2. I'm not sure which is "easier," but I think there are are easy and difficult things with both.
  3. No there wasn't a problem after I left the info session, except that I had planned on the lap band, but now I'm not sure which surgery I want.
  4. I went to my info session yesterday at Magee, and came away pretty confused. I know that I want to lose weight, am sure I want some kind of surgery, but now I'm confused about which one I want to have. Anyone else have questions or concerns after their information session or any time during the process?
  5. I'm just real curious. I went to an informational session yesterday and now I'm confused!!! Why did folks go for the banding rather than bypass? I thought I was sure before I went to the session that I wanted to be banded. Now I'm confused.
  6. I, too have lots of questions, however I'm at the very beginning of things. I go to my informational session on Tuesday. Already I'm excited because I've finally made a commitment to do something about my weight. Regarding work, I told my boss, only because he's overweight and I figured he'd understand. I was correct and he's been very supportive. However, I'm not sure what I'll do with the rest of the staff.
  7. Hi!! I'm from Pittsburgh and am attending my informational session next week. I'm hoping my insuraance covers and all of that good stuff. What's been your experience thus far. Where will you be having your surgery and doctor visits?
  8. I'm brand new to all of this. I finally decided for myself that I need to lose this weight. Not for the doctor, not for my family, not for my friends, but simply for me. I scheduled to go to the information session on October 21st. I'm nervous about all of this. Do I have the conviction to do all that will become necessary. Do I weigh too much for the lap band 291 at 5'7". What if, what if, what if. Lot's of questions.
