  1. Hi, I just had my procedure last friday, Jan 23rd. I know each persons road differs especially the time it takes but I think you are on the right road. You know your insurance covers the procedure that is half the battle. The next is to find a decent surgeon. Usually they will help you with the other steps like physical exams, blood work, urine, sonogram... your GP should be prepared to write a detailed letter to your weight struggle and all of the options you have tried under their supervision along with medical issues you have (which is a requirement from your insurance). Know there is support and answers if needed. I also looked on YouTube.com for lapbanders that was another good source of information. All the best! TKM
  2. I'm a week out of my surgery and still have a cough. I spoke to my cousin (who is a surgeon), my surgeon is away until next week... but my cousin said it is normal because of the breathing tube and the iritation it causes. It's scary because it also hurts! I tell my Mom "It only hurts when I cough". I have a nebulizer for my asthma and that seems to have calmed the cough and breathing issues some. Has anyone experienced the same thing?
