May 2006 Band Crew ~ September Chat
I recently cleaned my closet also, and I gave away five bags of clothes to a friend and donated about three. :clap2: I loved clothes before the weight loss and I love them even more now. I try to stay away from the stores because I know that I am still loosing. But when something special comes up, I need something new to wear because all the bottoms I did keep are a little big. But on the same note when I go and buy new ones they are too big within a couple of days sometimes. I have had some things taken up, but everything can't be.

Well there isn't anything he can do if I am at capacity. I don't feel like i am starving but I think I could have more restriction. I am still doing well, just concerned what happens if I loose the restriction I do have.:phanvan

Ok just checking in, I have lost a couple of pounds since my last post. But I found out something a little disturbing on my liast visit to the doctor. I am at capacity for my fills. What's next? I just have to continue to watch what I eat. But what happens when I hit a plateau and can not loose anymore!

May 2006 Band Crew ~ September Chat
I haven't posted in a long time, but I have been keeping up with everyone's progress. It has been a lot of getting used to but it is worth it all. I am so happy to hear about how well everyone is doing, and for those who are having difficulty, it will all get better soon. Keep up the good work!

need help menu planning
One of my favorite meals is baked fish:hungry: . I season my fish with very little sea salt and lemon pepper seasoning and lemon slices and bake in the oven. I usually eat steamed broccoli or spinach with it. Another thing that is good is homemade soups with lots of vegatables, it is a one pot meal, I add meat for the rest of the family but I may eat a couple of small bites of it. In case I don't really eat the meat I add unflavored protein powder.:clap2:

I was thinking about maybe going again.

Anyone ever done a 'colon cleanse' ?
The lady I went to was licensed and it took about 45 minutes for each session, I can't remember how much it was because she did a package deal for me and my mom. This is what the table and set up looked like where I went. It really isn't as bad as you would think.

:omg: I have had a Colonic in the past before being banded and you would be surprised at what is left in your body even if you do have regular BM's. But I never ordered anything I went to a professional. It is an experience. But normally your body is still not getting rid of all the waste it produces.

To Booze or Not to Booze
Since I have been banded, I've noticed that it doesn't take much for me to get tipsy. I have had a couple of drinks, on the weekend, with my friends and everything has gone fine, no problems yet. Like a couple others here, I mix my favorite liquor with Crystal Lite and it is GREAT! But when you go to the bar or the club you are tempted to order something else, I just take Crystal Lite with me and I'll order some water and straight liquor and mix it myself...sometimes I luck up and they have bottled water. Forget it...just do shots...it won't take that many!:biggrin1:

Any SW or W Houston Bandsters?
Hi, I live in Downtown Houston...Dr. Spivak did my lapband surgery on May 10th. Dr. Spivak and the people in his office are great. Anytime I had a question, they were there. Anyway, good luck with your journey, it is a long one but well worth it.
