  1. PJTP: WHY I HATE SALT!!! I have GOT to figure it's salt cuz this just ain't normal. The other day I was 223.5. Then the next day, Saturday, I was 228! Then yesterday I was 230.5!!! OH MY FREAKIN' GOD! I'm back down to 228 this morning, but there's nothing else I can attribute this to other than salt. Not that I've knowingly done anything especially salty -- but the night before the first jump I had hubby's steak (marinated with, I believe, soy and other stuff), and then the next jump was after his chicken (also marinated with, I believe, soy and other stuff). I HATE seeing stuff like that happen. Yesterday I was so busy I hardly ate enough to keep a goldfish alive (which I also know doesn't help). I just wanted to say AAARRRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!:cursing:
  2. G'mornin' slim! I would HATE to have your internal clock since I'm a late-nighter. I was so tired from the yard work I did yesterday but went to bed and couldn't get to sleep. I went up about 12:30 and read until about 1:00 with the intent of getting on a more "normal" (for me) schedule since I need to start budgeting my time. So much for that...
  3. Crap, did I post last night?? And yes, hubby is still on meds. I told him I was working out my sexual frustration (since the meds interfere, damnit... ). He said, Shoot, you ought to be sexually frustrated more often. I said, Who says I'm not? This time I just acted on it. How come???
  4. Okay, I am officially exhausted. Hubby's still recuperating from surgery, so I took on the mowing today. We mow our yard and the old lady's next door who died a few months back (he was mowing before she died too... to help out). So I did two yards and didn't end there. I picked up dog doo, raked, swept, weeded, cut numerous low-hanging branches off a tree, tore the lattice-work out from under the deck (too many holes in it [bought it with some damange]), hauled huge branches out to the street... omg, I started about 2:00 and didn't end until after 7:00. I oughtta sleep good tonight! Which is fine, because hubby and I (since he's been off) have been on a REALLY late-night binge lately (last night we were up until almost 5:00am!). I NEED to get on a schedule, as I have some homework that needs to be done tomorrow. I downloaded my GoWear Fit at 8:00pm and had already burned nearly 2700 calories, and I have my max set at 2200 (leaving a thousand-calorie deficit, so I only really take in 1200). Did I say I was tired? And no, Lu, don't even ask. lol
  5. [quote name=luluc;1320161we have just gutted our place' date=' started @ the second floor and are working our way down. a lot of expense has gone into replacing all electrical/plumbing/propane/water lines (in the country). this wkend we got all our art out of storage and have started decorating our upstairs (2 guest rms/music-game rm/media rm-kitchen/baths). along with FINALLY agreeing on all textiles for the downstairs remodel. kitchen is gutted now (pic attached) - glad we had another one built upstairs...., exciting - finally putting pcs together and starting to feel like home.[/quote] LOVE the finished room, Lu!!
  6. VERY cool, Ebony!!! Wow, 1850's!! I knew it was old, but I don't think I knew it was that old! So... any ghosteses?
  7. Sorry... But yes, pretty much what I meant is that the CEOs aren't even doing the work. It's the "underlings" who do. The CEOs are usually the ones who simply get all the credit.
  8. Where did you go, Skyline?
  9. I might be able to commandeer a backhoe... there's this one out on Route 7... and I betcha Glouc can hotwire that baby...
  10. Sooo.... when she's broke again and all sucking up to y'all and stuff, I would remind her of her behavior and how you are more than aware of her attempts at using you -- and THANK her because you found it SOOO peaceful. Then don't answer the phone/door, don't speak to her, don't acknowledge her, nothing. Ooooh, or better yet, YOU call HER every day and borrow stuff. lol
  11. They don't. Many have their secretaries do all the work, and many others simply fail due to overspending, etc., and then get sucked up into the government beast. I personally feel it's planned. A dumb (or reliant) public is a controllable one.
  12. Don't forget they can't spell cat if you spotted them the C and the T because it's hardly a requirement anymore. And since we have spell check...
  13. Don't forget they can put a condom on a banana...
  14. SLEEP!! If you go to sleep, you won't eat late at night (and risk acid reflux)!!
  15. Sounds VERY yummy. I used to make a veggie lasagna with zucchini and yellow squash, but I didn't use them in place of the pasta -- I used it as a layer inside.
  16. That made me laugh out loud! Hubby just shot me the weirdest look! lol
  17. RECIPE!!!! Or... are there leftovers? :sneaky:
  18. You know the nice thing about weeds? They'll be there tomorrow if you're not ready today. :sneaky:
  19. Can I be a Cocoa Puff? :sneaky:
  20. So... if you ain't snowin', you're rainin'. Hmmm, where do I sign up? :wink2:
  21. I agree with you! If all they asked for was some sort of mark, I would likely have done the wrong one too.
  22. Then you GOTSTA move over to the fruity side. :sneaky:
  23. Okay, I un-ignored that person for a second just to see what the problem was. For the record, though Wasa and I have gotten into a heated battle or two, I don't feel we have walked away with hard feelings towards each other, nor do I feel we don't like each other. I simply don't get involved in too many topics where she is, but not for any personal reason. We have both agreed on issues more than we have disagreed. What I said was in jest, but yes, considering the week we've had, I agree it was untimely. For that I apologize. For the snide "yes you did," you know what you can do with it. If you're so about ignoring me, then do it already. Otherwise, I don't want to hear from you.
