  1. Wow, thanks! Me too. My obsession with books is akin to Imelda Marcos' obsession with shoes. :blushing:
  2. Not evil in the least. You know what they say about looking good being the best revenge. :blushing:
  3. I'd end up with those Aborigine pancake boobies, I just know it. :blushing:
  4. There ya go!! YAAAAY Susan!! :blushing:
  5. Seems very plausible. The DA isn't seeking the death penalty.
  6. Sounds like me. I was 120 all through high school, then had DD when I was just shy of 22 and went between 135 and 123. got divorced and met DH at age 26 and I was about 150. By the time we got married at age 28, I was 230 in my wedding photos. And it's been going up ever since. :tongue2:
  7. What you could do is say that since you've been dieting and exercising (or whatever reason you use for your weight loss), you've learned that you do much better at events such as that if you have a large, satisfying salad before heading out. That way you get a healthy filling and then aren't as hungry at an event. That is if anybody chooses to call you out on "picking" at your plate. :tongue2:
  8. Actually, I'm wrong. We haven't seen them since November 13th, the last "eating" day I had before I started liquids on the 14th! Wow... I know the wife was asking me if I could eat for Christmas Eve. They must be thinking of us hooking up. Now, to get the full picture, she's 5'2" or so, and maybe 95 pounds soaking wet. She is teeny-tiny and can often get full on four bites of food (not that she's food conscious, she's just very small and fills easily). Her hubby, otoh, usually finishes what she doesn't eat -- after he eats his. :tongue2:
  9. I don't know if it will wait till she hits her 40s. I was able to do whatever I wanted until my mid-20s. I don't know if she's 20 like you are, but she may not have as long as she thinks. :tt1: We have a pair of friends, now that I think about it, that we haven't seen since my operation on the 21st of November. I always called them our eating buddies, and I guess I wasn't wrong. I told them I can't eat, and we haven't seen them. :smile2: 'Course I've lost 21 pounds (yay!) since we saw them last exactly one month ago today...
  10. Hehe, didn't quite think about it when I wrote it, but... either, I guess! Going commando because it's sexy rather than going commando because the undies no longer fit and you just can't bring yourself to buy bigger ones... now there's a novel idea! :tongue2:
  11. I consider that a HUGE NSV (no pun intended)! I'd LOVE to buy non-plus undies. Waiting for the day they are minus undies.
  12. I miss being able to wear hooker heel shoes. Maybe one day... But have FUN! This time of the year is so cool. Had two parties two nights in a row (Thursday, Friday). And two more this coming week. WOOT!
  13. Oh wow, you're SO LUCKY!!! I was gonna nab you for a walk this afternoon, but my online test at the campus, which usually takes about 30 minutes tops (get in, wait for a computer, take it) took me over THREE HOURS. Seems everybody on the campus was there to take a final. By the time I got home (not long ago), I was starving and it was getting cold. Tomorrow, maybe? Haven't seen you or kiddo in a long time!
  14. I think you're absolutely right, BBK.
  15. I know, I keep telling myself that too. It wasn't meant to be for a reason. In all likelihood, I'm being saved from some tremendous grief having THIS job in THIS place with THESE bosses right now. They're very unkind people.
  16. PJTP: I didn't get the promotion I tried so hard for. The "golden-haired" child did. I'm trying so hard not to cry like a big blubbery baby. I believe she wanted the pay and prestige more, but I really wanted the job. The big boss has been petting her and helping her all along, so it's not a surprise that she got it. I'm just sad, even though they probably did me the biggest favor ever. :wink2:
  17. Oh good grief, CC, you got sumpin' to tell us?? :wink2: Sorry to hear that's how you started off your day. Never a good thing. :crying:
  18. They were just looking for some action, and I was playing the part. There's no thread that needs to be started because it is a non-topic. It doesn't exist.
  19. Ditto ditto. Except for the name Donna. My name is Beth, and I've probably spent about $10,000 in books.
  20. If gays wanna get married, they need to be saddled with we women just like every other guy.
  21. Oh goodie. So MacMadame and I can discuss the BS of global warming again? And how 650 scientists have dismissed it as the crappy bunk that it is? .: U.S. Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works :: Minority Page :.
  22. Buff Puff. I swear by them. Been using one for years and it's the best.
  23. Very glad you're okay, Fanny. And also glad you caught up with that kid!
  24. Hey, it's SO worth it!!!
  25. Omg, I almost cried! I was so excited I told my coworker how I felt full and look how little I ate (she is the only one at work that knows about my band). And one-third? Shoot, try one-fourth. I would have eaten that soup PLUS most of some large Pasta dish or pad thai or something. I always had the soup before getting a meal. Today, the soup WAS the meal!
