  1. Yes you can do it, think about the long term Vizulization (spell?) girl, close your eyes, see it, believe it, pray for it. Hell nothing else has worked before this... I have a black dress hanging on the outside of my closet door in my bathroom, I have to see it each and everyday. Some days I give more thought to it than others, but everyday I know its their. Every day it is a reminder of I want to be.... Not skinny, not 18 all over again, just alive again and owning my life..... YOU CAN DO THIS...... My situation is a bit diffrent, I am having to stay within a 16 # range or my insurance will deny me. My current BMI is 37.9 but I have health issues that qualifies me with my insurance. I'm just tired of being tired, and I'm mostly tired of being miserable because I am miserable.... Know what I mean? I am blessed by my husband of 27 years and my two sons, but for so long life was about them.. I need it to be about me for the moment. I want to look in the mirror and be proud to know the women looking back at me..... Best of Luck, please keep in touch when you can..
  2. I had to stop and pause when I saw Coos Bay, Oregon. Hello from Ky, I was born and raised in Coos Bay/ Eastside Oregon, Graduated from Marshfield High. I had been thinking of home for a while now. It's awsome to meet you. Pidge Kk
  3. tracy, I was so HAPPY to read your post, I sure could use some wisdom from you.... pre and post if you wouldn't mind sharing. I will not be banded until jan 2009. The insurance requirements will be done in December, but I'm not sure I want to spend the Holidays dealing with all my changes when it's about family time. New Year, New Changes.... Hope to hear from you. Pidgekk
  4. I have to tell you girl, I learned a lot from your site, or postings. I thank you, I am so new to this, this is the first chat experience I have had. I came to this site looking for support for banding. I am suppost to have it in Jan. 2009. Best of luck to us both. I have some of the same worries you are expressing... Thanks for sharing... Pidgekk
  5. thank you, thank you, thank you for asking the question. I will read the postings and maybe someone can provide us with something..... I'm a bit worried about life after surgery and keeping up my end of the deal.....
  6. very good, keep doing what your doing. I'm not scheduled for banding until 1-2009 and you please tell me, anything a person should know that will help them get through the 1st 5 weeks, also how do you deal with wanting comfort food? thank you, best of luck to you
  7. Beth, nice to read your note, this is also a new site for me, I am trying to find my way around the site, what you wrote is what I also could have written. My insurance company requires 6mo' before the procedure. I am 4 mo's into, It looks like I will have this done jan 2009 right after the new year. I have struggled also for a long time, I know my situation could be so much worse, and I am blessed to have good insurance, I must say I am a bit worried, and as you I NEVER thought surgery would be an option for me, but I'm 47 years old and want my life back. I wish us both well and hope to find someone on this site that can answer all the questions I have about the days and weeks following the surgery. Hope to talk to you again. Pidgekk
