  1. Paula I have never thought of removing the saline to see how much is still in there but you bet I will ask the doctor tomorrow about doing it. I'm sure he will appreciate me telling him how to do it but at this point I'm very concerned. I got another post from Dr. Curry who does Lap Band surgeries and he is very encouraging to me. Thanks for your input.
  2. Thanks for the information. I have not lose any weight since I was banded and have never felt any different in my appetite. Hopefully I will be able to get this fixed without surgery.
  3. thanks for your quick reply. My doctor told me after the second fill that I shouldn't return for 4 to 6 months so that is why I was concerned. I was wondering...I noticed that you had to be rebanded. Did yo have to absorb the cost of the second surgery also?
  4. I had my Lap Band surgery done the 6th of April. I have had two fills. One was 1.3 and the second was .8. That one was two weeks ago. I have not thrown up once. I have had NO restriction at all. I am going back to my surgeon but I am very concerned. There is no doubt in my mind that there is leakage. Does anyone know where I go from here? Who pays the bill if the band has malfunctioned and I have to have something replaced?
  5. Hi Molly Thanks for the recipe. I am 11 days post-op. Am I the only one who's hungry?? I have a son living at home and my husband. It's hard to sit here and smell garlic bread
  6. I was banded on April 6th. Pain was very minimul. I need some help on swallowing. Lap Band doctor say I am having esphogeal spasms. Other trouble is diahrrea...can't get it to stop. I am eleven days post-op. Does anyone have any suggestions for either one?? My other question is....is anyone hungry??
  7. I didn't know there WAS a pre-op diet. Maybe they will give me that info tomorrow.
  8. Thanks for all the replys. I am private pay so my most pain today was going to get a cashier's check for $14,500.00 I'm ready for the change but my husband keeps asking me if I'm sure I want to do this. Any ideas? How did other members treat you as you lost the weight? I'm sure it will be different just don't know what to expect.
  9. Willybe I'll let you know what's going on with me so I can encourage you along. When in May?
  10. Thanks for the info. I'm hoping mine will be...not so painful.
