  1. I have to say thank you for asking these questions. These are the exact same things I have been wondering, and not been able to put into words so well. I look forward to the feed back you will receive from these questions.
  2. Thank you everyone for all of the info! You guys have been VERY helpful. I am a LOT less anxious now! Take care everyone and good luck on your journeys.
  3. I do not have my date yet. I am self pay, so it is really just a matter of making the decision. They said it would only take a couple of weeks after I am ready. That is kind of scary and exciting at the same time.
  4. Thanks Jean, maybe someone will enlighten us, they are all probably just sleeping right now!
  5. Hello all! Okay I have what seems to be the unasked question :crying:...Is anyone willing to talk about the effects the surgery has on the outside of the stomach after the surgery? I am wondering about bruising and deformations. I have heard so much, but no one really gets into detail or posts pictures. I realize most people don't want to know all of the nitty gritty details, but I think it would really help me. I am way more comfortable doing something scary if I know what to expect. I think my imagination is too active, and I freak myself out. I am considering doing the surgery, but I still have some reservations. I know the results make any discomfort or, let's be frank, PAIN :scared0: worth it in the end. I would really appreciate it if someone would share the facts with me. Thanks everyone!
  6. Thank you everyone for all of your help.
  7. Hello all!, I have been considering lap band for a little over a year now. I recently changed my mind, and am now considering the sleeve. I would love to hear from those who have had both. Can you give me your opinions about the two? So far my research has shown that the sleeve has better results, and less complications than the lap band. Thanks for your input! :lol0:
  8. Hello, Does anyone know if latex allergies could cause a problem for the lap band procedure? Thanks for your responses.
  9. Hello, Welcome back!! I hope you find some answers on your journey. I am still in the research/ saving up $$ stage. Good Luck!
  10. Thank you so much for the info. I will take your advice. I was not sure what the benefits of use floro were as opposed to not before now. I am happy to see we do not have to drive too far for fills, and the price is not bad considering the gas I will save!!
  11. That is great!!! I am about to have the procedure done in Mexico, but I was unsure of where to go for fills here in Dallas. You have been very helpful!!
  12. Hello everyone, I am here in Dallas, and am nearly finished saving up for the lap band procedure in Mexico. But, I have had no success finding a fill center around here. I spoke to Fill Centers of America, but their nearest location is in Austin!! Do any of you have some information that could help me out? :confused:You all have been so helpful already. I really appreciate it.
  13. Hi guys, Thanks for responding. I just wanted to let you know I am in Plano.:tongue2:
  14. Hello everyone, Well I have been lurking around reading lots of interesting, and insightful posts. But, I have finally decided to go ahead and join the group. I am just north of Dallas, and am considering LapBand. I will be self pay, and am nearly finished saving up. I do have some questions though. :wink2: Does anyone know of a place to get fills near Dallas if I get the surgery done in Mexico? Thank you everyone for your help. I am so excited, and yet nervous at the same time!!:tongue2:
