Trell, you are right about most who post here. They LOVE to gang up on the opposing view. This is what they live for when they turn on the computer. The post where you brought it to their attention got them heated against you because they saw that you came to my defense. Sorry for that. (thank you by the way) I don't have a problem with them though. I'm getting used to it. I don't usually agree with most peoples views on controversial issues, because I have the same beliefs on those issues as God does, so this is why it bothers them so. (If you know how God feels about an issue, and you don't feel the same way, then you know deep down inside that you will have to answer to him someday for it.) They're not really angry with me, It's God that they have an issue wth. This is why I don't let it bother me.

My opinion about doctors being human has NOTHING to do with God. It's just my opinion. And I didn't ask you to 'join' up with anything! And you're the one who doesn't understand why you are so frustrated, disgusted and in despair over some things that I say. (I'm not including what I feel about doctors, here, Just other things I have spoken concerning what God says about things.) I believe that most atheists (unbelievers) know from creation itself that there has to be a creator, for if there is a mona lisa, then there is a painter. And to admit that there is a creator, would not allow you to go on living the way you do, for you would need to answer to him, and this brings about your disgust and anger towards me. Nothing more. I have refrained lately from talking to much or bringing God into my talk, (even though for me to do so is very hard, because he is a huge part of my life and all of my decisions and opinions are formed by what he has told me in the bible) but I can see that because you all already know that I am a believer and follower of Jesus that you relate everything I say to God. All I can say is ...Too bad for that. I am who I am. And if you are disgusted with me, then don't read my posts. What else can I say, I'm not going to change my personality for you or anyone else.

(Like I said before, I was talking about them not using a term that makes sense. Not that drs. don't know what they are doing.) You know what Beth? You are the meaneast , nastiest, name calling person I have ever come in contact with. Tell me, is there anyone that you haven't bashed with your tongue? I can imagine those who live with you and are around you on a daily basis. I bet they are abused verbally. You need to take a hard look at yourself, because you have a bad problem with belittling and putting others down. Maybe deep down inside, it's what you enjoy. How twisted. Or maybe because you were fat you have a poor self image and calling names or putting others down repeatedly when they don't agree with you on things makes you feel better about yourself. Is that it? You are soooo right. In other countries it is perfectly 'normal' to get married at the onset of puberty. I'm not saying I feel it's ok, because in America, people have set a legal age for this and that. But, God obviously doesn't have a problem with having babies at a young age, for he made the woman to be able to reproduce at the onset of menstruation.( he does not approve of sex outside of marriage, so please don't misunderstand what I'm saying here.) But,If these 2 'kids' were married, this would be ok with God. It is man's law that marriage is not ok until you are older. Not God's. After all, Mary had Jesus at the young age of 14.

Who cares what the medical community says? Who are they anyway? The medical community aborts children, so I don't always take what drs. have to say as law. They may be 'considered' premature, but that's not what they are any longer. Babies that are born early are premature till they reach the 5 lbs. that is acceptable for them to leave the hosptal, which is what a full term baby is when they are born. (I will not doubt that some premies can have some problems in development later, but so do some full term babies)

You are right about my neice. I'm not sure if she cried or not. Maybe she cries about it now, I don't know. I would like to think that she has some remorse. Without it, she could never receive forgiveness from God. Something else I'd like to say is there are so many people (including some on LBT) who comment on how selfish the octuplets mom was and who talk about how she should be 'hung' for what she did, etc. Yet people have no problem with abortion, which to me is far, far, far worse than anything she has done. ( I believe life begins at conception)

Whatever their reason is for not killing a human being is fine with me. If they worry that others will say something about it, their right. My neice was going in to have an abortion one afternoon, and when I found out she had it scheduled for that day, I pleaded with her not to kill the baby. I went so far as to tell her that if she delivered the child, and didn't want it, that I would raise her baby myself. I even told her that I would support her financially through the whole thing and pay her dr. bills. I gave her every option possible. She didn't heed my help and the baby was murdered. I cried for a long time over the loss of a great niece or nephew. I don't believe she ever cried once. her attitude was, "Well, I got rid of that 'problem'." Some people are just heartless about unborn children. They feel if they can't 'see' them then they really aren't human. Or if they can't breathe air yet, then they really aren't human.

This isn't true. My grandson was born at just 2 lbs. and he is thriving as a three yr. old now. He left the hosp. at just 5 lbs. or so, and he was just like any other baby you take home because they don't let you take them home till they are well enough. (like a full term baby)

instead of killing the baby in the lake, which is gonna get her a murder charge and a time in prison, she should have aborted it yesterday and gotten off free and clear. (under Obamas new law):cursing::thumbup: I'm sure all you prochoicers wouldn't have minded that! (sarcasm) Why is it not ok to kill a baby if it comes through the birth canal, but it is ok if you do it before that magic moment???!!! I just don't see the logic?

I agree with you. She made some poor choices and now what's done is done. There are many (yes, here) who love to cast stones at people and find every stupid thing others do, love to talk about how wrong it is, love to say how they would never do that, love to decide what sort of punishment others should receieve for their mistakes, and enjoy trashing them, and that's just as bad. Then, like you said, all the talk about it has led some people to threaten her life over it. This threatening will then lead to action, and now you have a real problem, bigger than the problem she caused by being irresponsible in her actions. I, too, hope she finds a way to support them all, and I believe she will be a good mom to them. I also pray, and know, that God will provide a way for her, despite her actions, because He loves her and all the children.

Burps that help. Believe me, I remember when I began to eat a little after surgery, I really wanted to burp, but couldn't. That feeling eventually left me. The first 6 weeks is a healing time. Then afterwards, when you get a fill, your band is tight, and I drank just a little water, and it all started sliming back up my throat and out. But that, too, stopped after the 2nd day after the filll. To me, as I look back, I see how the LB is a learn as you go along process. Something like sliming happens to you once, and then you don't do that again, Or not chewing well enough causes a tightness in your throat, and you're more careful not to let that happen again. So, don't worry, you'll be fine. :thumbup:

Once you overeat to the point where you have stretched your stomach, and then do it again and again, in time you need more and more food to fill you up. Your stomach is no longer the size of a fist, now it is a football. If you only eat enough to fill it half way, you will start to take off some of your stored fat, but once you eat till it's full again, you just put the weight back on. And the lose and gain cycle goes on forever. Some feel that dieting can return your stomach to its normal size, But I don't agree. Your stomach will always be stretched. It's like a balloon. You'll always be able to put as much food in it as you last could. Thus why to maintain a wt. loss is even more difficult than the diet to reach the goal. Hence why everyone knows 'diets don't work.' That's why lapband or bypass is the only real solution that will keep it off. You just can't put food in there even if you want to. With that said, I was fat because I continually stretched out my stomach by overeating, and I needed more and more food to feel satisfied or full because of it.

bfrancis, have you ever considered a career in journalism, or writing a book? You have such a way with words. I am 5 months post op right now, and this LBT has really helped me with questions along the way. You're probably right, but you never know in this world we live in. I knew a doctor here in my town who was providing prescription drugs for an addicted patient on the terms that she give half of them back to him for his own personal use. I thought when that hit the paper that his career would be history, but can you believe he is still able to practice?! He can't write prescriptions anymore unless another doctor in his office signs them off. Go figure! And to think this doctor was my elderly neighbors doctor that I used to bring her to.

Wow! Anyone wanting IVF should go to him. He has a great success rate.

I am sure that noone 'accepts' it as you say, but what can you do once the baby is here? You just have to accept 'the fact' and take care of the child.

So you have 6cc all together? That's what I have. My first fill was 4cc and my second was 2cc more. What great restriction I have at 6cc. If I dare eat too fast or more than 2-3 bites of food, I'm stuck. And please don't let me forget to chew well! Isn't it great? This makes it worth it all. Hope you begin to shed plenty of pounds!
