  2. Well the reason why I had some regrets is because this was the first(and Hopefully the last) Time I had ever had been in the hospital or ever had surgery. I've never had a broken bone and I've always thought I was healthy. After High school and college I gained a bunch of weight, Due to not being very active, I have a desk job. I didn't like feeling limited to things. Especially being out of work. It only lasted 2 days, and then I was back to normal. I just remember sitting there watching TV with my wife and I noticed every commerial or TV show that I was watching had to do with food. It got to me because the food on TV looked a heck of a lot better then the broth I was eating. But like I said earlier, I got use to it and the hunger and cravings went away and all is well! NO REGRETS WHAT SO EVER NOW!!!. Basically I was a big baby. But when I looked at the big picture and realized that I wanted to be around for my wife and for my Kids my self pitty went away. Not to mention all of that delicious fat enduced food was the reason that I looked into getting banded. It was totally God sent. I am truely blessed for being able to get a second chance. Trust me you might feel a little resistant at first but after the first couple of days, You'll realize, This was a piece of cake. No Pun intended.
  3. Hello everyone out there, I was banded on January 30,2006 and have lost to date about 36 lbs. I had my surgery in bakersfield, ca by Dr. Niak and at first I had horrible regrets. Now, I have no regrets what so ever. The pre surgery diet and post op diet really help you manage your eating habits and help you start your new life. I haven't had any complications what so ever. I was a walking heart attack waiting to happen, and now I am off all of my diabetes meds and feel healthier then ever. And it's only been 2 months. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a second chance at life.
