  1. Im sorry tricare denied you and you had to self pay. About plastics, my pcm told me that tricare will pay for anything i need when im ready for plastics.
  2. I have none and was approved by Tricare. Was approved in 3 days back in May and had surgery in Aug. The only thing that i had was being 100lbs over weight. I did hear from my dr that tricare is getting more tight on who they approve now.
  3. What i was told by my PCM and my surgeon was that once tricare gives the approval to see them that tricare has approved the surgery. I was scared that it was only a approval to see the surgeon and i'd have to get another approval to get the surgery, but nope! Once you get that approval your all the way approved!!

  5. Thank you for answering... :tt1: I have to say that i've thought about it since making this post and i've made up my mind to atleast wait until dec. That gives me so much time to get as much weight off as i can. I know all about the lifestyle changes and all that comes along with the band. I've seen my mom live with hers for 5 yrs now. I guess whats the hardest for me is going from ttc for 6 yrs to not for awhile. Here's to hoping these next 3 months go by fast!
  6. Im new to the site and i love there is this section!! My name is Tiffany, i've been married to my wonderful husband for 6 yrs. We've been together for almost 9yrs. We have a beautiful daughter named Allie who will be 9 in Jan. We are both from the lovely state of Texas. Abliene for me and Houston for him. Dh is a nuclear mechanic on Submarines. Right now we are on shore duty stationed in Goose Creek, SC while he's instructing students until 2011. DH has been in the Navy 8 yrs. I was banded on 8.12.08 by a wonderful dr in Beaufort, SC. 80miles one way drive for me. But for this band, it is worth it!!
  7. Im feeling GREAT! Day 4 post op i started feeling back to normal! goodluck to you!
  8. Hello everyone! My name is Tiffany. I am newly banded. 8.12.08 is the day i started my new life.
  9. Im new to the site and i thought i'd ask. How bad would it be to start TTC a few days past 4 weeks postop? We've been TTC since June 2002 for #2. I feel that since its taking us so long already it wouldn't hurt to start trying now. I've lost 23.3lbs already in 4 weeks. For some of you pro lapbanders, what would you say??
