  1. Hi, I also suffered from emotional eating and asked my surgeon the same question, his answer was that it doesn't matter "if you cant put the petrol in" I've only been banded for 5 days and on liquid diet have already lost 6 kilos (13lb). My goal is to lose about another 70lb and be able to shake high blood pressure, diabetes and also depression. What I am going to do is focus on the positives like the above, feeling healthier and not so tired all the time. Also that continue down sizing of clothes and receiving comments on how good I'm looking. I just this minute came back from the supermarket buying myself some new soup flavours. Stay positive, dont focus on food, use the band as your tool, feel good about yourself and I'm sure the rest will fall into place. GOOD LUCK!
  2. Hello fellow peoples in search of a better life. I was banded on the 11/09/08 in Hobart Australia by Mr Wilkinson. My goal is to lose about 45 kg so I can live to see my grand daughter walk down the aisle at her wedding! I suffer from high blood pressure, depression and type 2 diabetes. I am very confident I can turn these illnesses around. Have to stay on fluids for 4 weeks but its not that bad. Still have a little discomfort around the wounds and get reflux sometimes and like burping, gassy sensation in my throat. Hope this is all a bit normal. Like to here from anyone who can give me valuable info or tips. Thanks bye guys.:thumbup::thumbup::smile::thumbup::smile::thumbup::laugh::thumbup::ohmy::thumbup::wink::thumbup::eek::thumbup:
