  1. Hi Trina. Sorry for the delay in response I very rarely get on here! I wanted to give you my email (soonerjadeou@aol.com) so feel free to contact me at anytime! I hope your band journey is going well, I feel so blessed. It is an awesome tool. Talk to you soon! -Candace
  2. It has taken a lot of work! But worth it. At least this way I am working hard and seeing results. Exercise is huge - also, don't forget to take your measurements - when you hit a plateau (which you will) don't forget to check your measurements - majority of the time you are still losing inches. I have kept track of mine and it is neat to see how far I've come! Best of luck to you!
  3. Hi Hillary! I am trying to meet more bandsters my age (I'm 25) and close to me! I live in Lewisville, TX and I was going to support groups, but I didn't have anything in common with most of the women there (over 40, married and/or with children and grandchildren) I would love to meet up with other bandsters my age for happy hour, movie night, just fun social activities where we have more in common than just our band! Let me know if that is something you might be interested in! -Candace
  4. Oh, I was banded LAST year  So I am doing well! I'm down 75lbs! Best of luck to you- ae you in the DFW area?
  5. Hi! My name is Candace - I'm 25 years old and live in Lewisville, TX. I was banded 10/17/07 and it has changed my life! I've been single for awhile and would love to meet new people - right now, it would be nice to meet any other bandsters closer to my age - late twenties/early thirties! And if I could meet a wonderful guy bandster, that would be icing on the cake! So I am looking for anything from new friends to a long-term relationship. :tt2:
  6. Hi Ally! Congrats on taking the first step to a whole new you. I love lapband, it has changed my life and I'm not done losing yet! Sucks that we don't live closer, but I'd love to keep in touch, offer support, talk about guys, whatever! I am due for some new girlfriends and just because you're not in Texas doesn't mean anything! haha. I'm not too familiar with this site, but my personal email is: soonerjadeou@aol.com. You can also friend me on www.myspace.com/candacejade. Hope to hear from you soon!
  7. Hey guys, I am 25 years old and live in Dallas/Fort Worth - I have had a hard time meeting Bandsters close to my age! I am single and would love to make new friends, guys or gals, to hang out with and relate to with our Lapband journeys. Hope to hear from you!
  8. My name is Candace and I am 25 years old. I am struggling with meeting anyone close to my age who has been banded! I am also single, so I would love to meet bandsters my age not only to talk about our surgery and issues, but to go out, do something fun, with people who understand! Besides most of my friends are in relationships. If you are interested in making new friends, having get togethers, or just chatting, please email me! I am beginning to think I am the only 25 year old Lapband patient! And I don't mean any offense to older patients, but I have noticed at my local support groups majority of the women are 40+ and/or married, so we're just at different points in our lives Thanks guys! Also, I just joined here so I haven't set up a profile yet, but I am also on MySpace: www.myspace.com/candacejade
  9. I live in Dallas/Fort Worth and am 25 years old - I was starting to think I am the only under 35 Lapband patient!! I am dying to meet new friends who I can share and talk to. I am single, and most of my friends are in relationships. Since no one completely understands my surgery and situation it would be great to meet some younger bandsters...most of the ladies in my support group are 40+ and/or married with kids. Anyway, would love to hear from anyone in their 20's who's been banded! Banded October 17, 2007 250/179/150 (Starting, present, goal weight) Thanks!
