  1. My team doesn't focus too much on calories or carbs. They focus mainly on protein, at least 60 g a day and I've been losing up till a week ago. I always get more than 80g of protein in a day. Also, the calories I consume aren't crap. They've always been impressed with my weight loss every time I've been to my check ups. I absolutely need to do more exercise, so I will be working on that.
  2. I'm currently about 5 months post-op and have started to gradually gain a bit. Gained about 5.5 lbs in about a week and I've changed nothing with my routine. While I understand weight loss isn't linear and I can understand not losing for awhile, why am I gaining? Is this normal? Any advice is appreciated. How I can gauge where I should be, about how many carbs and calories did/do you consume at 5 months post-op?
  3. Hey guys! I'm currently 5 weeks out and had a question about how much I should be able to eat in one sitting. I'm technically in the soft food stage and I had missed some of my meals today. I ate 2 small lobster tails and half a small sweet potato in one sitting today and don't feel nauseous or anything. I definitely feel full. Also earlier, I was able to eat two bacon and egg bites from Starbucks no issue. Still felt full afterwards. Have I stretched my stomach already?? I used to not be able to eat that much. Obviously, I probably shouldn't be eating that much but wouldn't my body absolutely object if I overdid it? Any helpful advice would be appreciated!
  4. Hey guys! I'm currently nearing the end of my first week of the pureed stage and I was wondering how many calories I'm supposed to be consuming? My doctor never really talked about it. Any suggestions from your surgeons? Thanks!
  5. Okay…so I’m on the puree stage and I got overzealous and ate a small piece of regular chicken that was moist. I chewed it really really good. Later, I had a sharp, deep pain around my biggest incision. Did I just make a detrimental mistake? It started to subside but I’m so afraid of a leak or damage to my sleeve. Has anyone experienced this before?
  6. Hey y'all! I'm currently one-week post op and I'm trying to interpret when I'm getting close to full. In the beginning, I was starting to consume 4 oz at one time every thirty minutes to get my goals in (I've stopped that since, I take it much slower). I never experienced any real discomfort even then but I'm afraid of hurting my sleeve. What are some signals that are experienced at this stage or what I should look out for? Any help is appreciated!
  7. Hey y'all! Brand -new here. I'm currently 5 days post-op and had a concern with my fluid goals. I know that we are meant to stop drinking 30 minutes before a meal and 30 minutes after one. How are we supposed to get our goal of 64oz in a day if we are restricted by that, especially since we can't drink a whole lot at any one time. Any tips or sharing of things that have worked for others would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
