  1. Actually the first two weeks were easy, (in your case 3 weeks) I was allowed to have a green salad a day with vinegar. (Men always get it easier as suported by Alkida, the Talaban, and diet people, only right!). My problems came after surgery because you are allowed some flexibility, thats' when I usually fail were food is involved. Things have settled down but My IQ has not improved ... I tried a slice of bread .... bad Idea. I am determined to make this work. There was a short clip on this procedure this morning on CNN, on Dr Sanjay Gupta, it was related more to childhood obesity. It appears that the procedure is $25,000 in the US, but it was very positive and showed a great shot on how the band actually works. I'm not sure I am a very good leader, but anything I can do to help.
  2. Yes, I have instruction. I am back to Optifast (1/2 portions is all I can manage now) and I have one question and I will call tommorrow. I really paid a bit of a price for pushing the envelope the second day after surgery. I was on on Broths and I ate some puree and I ate some mushy Pares; mainly, I think my activity level and my long day were the real culprits. Saturday was therefore a tough day. Bed rest, straight broth, and I am feeling better this morning. I have some limited commitments tommorrow so I will really hold myself in Neutral. Thank for the interest Jack.
  3. liquid only for 2 weeks ... no kidding? how about egg pieces in egg drop soup peas etc? When are they allowed? Thanks. I'm not much of a typist.
  4. I had my Surgery on Wednesday morning, and seemed to progress nornally by thursday, although sore I felt great. On Friday I was jivin' almost back to normal and did eat some thick things like canned pares and lumpy Soup, even went to a party, stayed late. While today, Saturday, I have been limping around like a sick puppy. Sore Tummy, feeling weak, (no nausea), so it has been back to broth and bed. Starting to feel a little better but still tender at this writing, 8:20pm Saturday. (I have cancelled tommorow's trackmeet.) Broth for 10 more Days?
  5. Yes I said Hi! Argon Everything went well and I am recovering nicely. Feeling a lot better than yesterday. I was pretty groggy when I saw you. I was really impressed with the staff and Doctor. Just had my first 1/2 cup of chicken broth.
  6. Well I called Marie yesterday, and My surgery is at 8:00am Mar. 29; I will be there at 7:15am. That means there are 2 others besides you and I. She told me there were 4 for tommorrow. Do I go to the same location were I went for my previous appointments? Have lost 25 lbs on the liquid in 2 weeks, craving carbs right now. I always loose quick ... not so good at sticking to the plan. My wife will be with me so I should be on my way back to Streetsville by 12:30 to 1:00PM. Just rambling.
  7. Argon, Marie told me I could eat a "green salad" daily instead of one of the Optifasts. I do not believe that she gave me a size. My green salads have been very "Generous". I am loosing weight though; expect to be down 25 lbs by Operation Time; I am a diabetic, and have just stopped taking any pills because my sugars have been so low. I have been monitoring my sugars every 4 hours. I met a blond young lady in the lobby one day, who was from Niagara falls or something St Catherines or something. Was without a confirmed ride, was that anyone you know?
  8. I don't know, I was asked to be there at 7:15am. What time are you scheduled to arrive and what time is your procedure?
  9. Test this guide
  10. I See a conflict in the post OP Notes. The Notes say to Take Multivitamin Daily but Marie said no Multivitamin two weeks Prior, Have I misunderstood?
