  1. 3 week post op update- I'm down 8 lb since my surgery 7/20 I was hoping for more, but I gained about 9 lb during surgery and the day after from all of the IV fluids. To be fair, I've never lost more than a pound or so per week, so this is still really good. I would love to lose 20 lb a month, but I'm ok with a consistent 2 lb per week. I've been working with my nutritionist and weighing myself daily to track trends. It also helps me catch things quickly and readjust. I started eating ginger chews after surgery to help with nausea and realized I was going a little too ham on them! (That's how I got here in the first place) So even though there are natural fluctuations, daily weight and food tracking has been a powerful tool for my nutritionist and I.
  2. I was also going to suggest JourneyLite Surgeons in Cincy. I just had a sleeve done there. I live in Columbus and had to go to their surgery center in Cincy for outpatient surgery. If the DS is outpatient, they require anyone who lives over 60 minutes away to spend the night in a hotle (they pay for it). I didn't love throwing up in a hotel! Just an FYI.
  3. Thank you for your kindness! I didn't have much GERD, but they did do a hiatal hernia repair that I didn't know I had. My dietician said it can take a few weeks to see weight loss, but it's frustrating when I lost 15 lb before surgery and nothing now with barely eating. That's a good suggestion.
  4. Hi there, I just found this site after googling because I haven't been feeling very good and haven't been losing weight. My sleeve was 7/20. I had to go to the hospital the day after for uncontrolled vomiting and dehydration. Since then I've been struggling with nausea. I'm hungry but if I eat anything that seems to control the hunger, I have dumping syndrome- pain, nausea, spasms, feel terrible. I know the first week, I gained weight from all of the fluids and that has come back down, but I haven't lost any more. I'm worried that I made a mistake.
