?Newbie here as well and I just started my liquid diet on Monday. I’m on day 3 and can say that it has been less of a hangry day than the first 2 days for me. I’m usually a night snacker so that time has been the hardest, and chewing jello only does so much for me. 11 more days for me until my surgery. Stay strong over there!

Hi friends! My bypass date is 8/7! It feels surreal that it’s actually happening after such a long process for insurance approval. Some days I’m really excited and some days I’m terrified. My one week liquid preop diet starts 7/31.

I'm on day 2. Thankfully my surgeon allows unlimited sugar free jello and Popsicles, cottage cheese, broth. Then 1 time day 3 oz of protein and up to 3 cups of green. (Spinach, broccoli, lettuce, cucumbers,) last day it's strictly clear liquids.

I've lost a total of 60 lbs! Fifteen was during the preop diet and 45 since surgery on May 1. So flipping excited. I haven't done pictures yet. We do those the first of each month.

I tried unflavored protein powder in the hospital. Made my broth taste and smell like dog food. Lord forgive me. Lol I just couldn’t. It was the nestle brand. Beneprotein. Any suggestions for a better unflavored protein?
