  1. I definitely want to work on my arms sooner than later. They have always been so huge to me. Now I will have a bit more advantage now that I’m totally calorie restricted and exercising is not as overwhelming for me like it was before. But I will definitely take it slow and wait for restrictions to be lifted first.
  2. Oooo I can’t swim very well but I love to be in the water. Lol Once I’m cleared to submerge/swim I will definitely do this. I have all my bathing suits ready. ?
  3. Mmm interesting. This is good info to know.

  7. @ChunkCat after my post op appointment my Bariatric doctor told me to only take my Ozempic if I stop losing weight.
  8. So yesterday I decided to start taking walks at the park and I love it. Before I couldn’t stand it because I would be in so much pain now I can actually enjoy it. Walking around the house in door and out door errands wasn’t enough for me anymore and my MD cleared me btw. I start puréed food tomorrow and I can’t freaking wait. I’m so excited. Lol 21lbs down since 7/24/23 rny gastric bypass. Quick question* What are some things you guys did when you first started back exercising besides walking and what really worked best for you? Is it normal to get a gagging feeling when exercising to hard or too much? Almost like nausea but not actually going all the way?
  9. My 1st post op appointment went great. I got to ask all my questions. He gave me answers with no attitude. Very attentive. Freaking love my doctor. I’m cleared to go back to work, chew gum, drink from a straw, exercise a lil more and go to the chiropractor! Still liquid phase for a few more days. Then semi soft, soft, firm, and then real food. Im so excited. And Im also 17 lbs down 11 days post op. ??
  10. My love @Scusani if we were all perfect we would not be here. It’s going to be ok.
  11. I had watermelon today. I didn’t swallow it just for the juice only. But damn it felt good af to chew FOOD! I didn’t get much because my 1yr old nephew grabbed it out of my hand and walked away. Lol it was nice while it lasted. Lol
  12. @CarmenG yes. I have two boxes in the freezer. Taste really good but can’t touch my chicken itch. lol
  13. I’m hungry. Lol I miss chewing food. I’m only on day 8 post op. Chewing jello is not the same. It’s not like chicken. Lol Drinking my protein all day long is getting old really fast. Sigh… #justventing
  14. So far only family. I currently live with my sister brother in law and her 1 and a half children. My mother is here part time for child care so it’s a full house. Plenty of space thank god. lol My sister is an FNP. And my brother in law is a DNP. My mother has medical background but not actively. I also have medical background but I’m not a nurse. I’m administrative and I’ve been in this field for over 13yrs+ I’ve only told 3 coworkers and 2 friend. I don’t expect them to do things like that tho. More encouraging than anything else. I was very careful about who I told just for these exact reasons. Sigh… I have to train people how to act around me on top of this journey? I’m tired just thinking about it. Lmfao!
  15. Does anyone have any good questions for me to ask my doctor? This is my first post op appt. An RN commented that it’s too soon but hey ??‍♀️ it was already scheduled in order per the coordinator. Surgey date 7/24/23. Post op appointment 8/3/23. I will be 9 days post op by then. SW: 279 CW:265 Goal weight: healthy❤️
  16. Is it just me or am I the only one who gets reminded daily/hourly and ever moment of the day of the things I can no longer eat. Lol Like why? I already know! Lol
  17. Absolutely! Amazon has a few with good reviews. I made sure to search for surgical compression garments. They are a lil pricey but it seems worth it. Several bariatric patients told me in person that I need to wear a girdle of some sort to help with the excess skin amount and weight loss . Told me it will help out a lot for contouring without having to get a lot of surgery.

  19. Thanks for the input everyone. I really appreciate it.
  20. @pintsizedmallrat nothing that tight dear. I choose life. Lol
  21. You look wonderful dear. Keep up the great work. I just took a look at that article that was tagged. I should be able to handle spanx. I will give it a try. Nothing too crazy right or touching my skin directly or on for hours either.
  22. I don’t want any tight enough to take my breath away. Just enough to tuck everything in and medium firm hold it together. Basically girdle vibes.
  23. Makes sense. I will just have to be patient of course. Thanks friends ❤️
