I'm also 1 month post op and feeling pretty amazing. Like you no more pain in my back, my knees don't hurt and I don't walk down stairs like a toddler. I'm 28lb down and was really concerned at the start that I wasn't losing enough weight. But everyones body is different and this is my journey, so I'm trying not to compare against others and just follow the guidance of my dietitian. I got annoyed with myself yesterday cause I ate a choc biscuit ?. I'm still on puréed food and don't even know why I ate it but I'm not going to beat myself up about it just try not to do it again. I want this to work for so many reasons so I just need to focus on those x. Well done on your 37lbs!! Good luck for tomorrow x

  6. Thank you both, great advice. I will be taking it too and just focusing on the plan ?
  7. Hi all I am now 23 days post op and on my 2nd week of puréed foods. I hope Xmas ? has not been too hard on you. I lost my mum back in April, so this is my first year without her and it has been tough. I'm keeping myself busy preparing meals for my husband and it's not really bothered me that I have to purée anything that I am having. What does bother me is that I don't seem to be losing much weight ?. My husband and sister say they can see change in me but the scales say otherwise. Since my pre op assessment I have lost a total of 16lb and it just doesn't seem much at all. I don't know if I have an unrealistic expectation of what I should be losing. I think the only thing I maybe doing wrong is not eating enough. I have been lucky ... Although I had bad nausea during my first week post op, I had no sickness nor dumping. I just feel like I am doing something wrong. My dietiy suggested dropping out the homemade smoothies made with fruit which I have done. Is anyone else going through the same issue?

  9. I felt the same on day 5 Michelle, just take on what you can, especially the anti sickness meds and rest loads. It will pass x
  10. Hi, I'm feeling much better now.. The first few days we're awful but only nausea, I say only.. I was sitting on the edge of my bed thinking wtf have I done to myself... ( Bit of a drama queen ?). But I got in touch with the Dr and got some anti sickness tablets (soluble) and within 24hrs I felt so much better. The pre op diet takes some getting used too but on two occasions I had got 2 weeks into it and then it was cancelled. When it came to the last time, I was determined not to go off course and then when I got to the hospital they didn't even weigh me! So I don't know what my pre-op weight was. I'm just going by my pre-assessment weight. I know it's different for everyone, but I don't actually feel like I am losing much weight ?. According to my home scales (which may not be any good), I have lost 16lb since my pre-assessment but like I said, I don't know how much of that was the pre op diet... I was even thinking maybe they didn't even do the op just made incisions and it's all physicosymatic... Well you can see where my head is at ????
  11. Hi, after 5 cancellations I had my Gastric Sleeve done on 4th Dec. This is the first time I’ve used this forum, so feeling a little out of my depth. ?
