Hi there!!! I just got my revision surgery date today. It's June 28th. My hospital pre-op appt is June 12th and my pre-op appt with my surgeon is the 13th. Super excited to finally get back to my life!!! I actually loved my sleeve, but the horrible GERD, esophagitis, and gastritis it caused pretty much brought my health, weight loss, working out, and overall happiness to a screeching halt. BUT....now that I have my surgery date, I'm super excited to get my life back and finish my weight loss journey!!! Happy June surgeries everyone!!!!

Had my surgery yesterday morning. Upon waking the Gas pains and nausea were bad… I was not expecting it to be that bad, it was truly a Struggle. I am much better now thankfully, sipping on my liquids and hopefully going home today. Very excited for all of us starting this journey! For all of you struggling right now, hang in there! And know that there are many of us in the same boat and rooting for you!

£@h - how are you doing? I so wish i could talk to you in person. Lets be lar about something - we have all gone through a major life change that out bodies and minds might take a little time to catch up with and get used to. Our surgery is not a cure - rather it is a tool to support our decision to become healthier. What it is not is another tool with which to beat ourselves up with. I think sometimes and depending upon the circumstances, we sometimes distort the meaning of strength. I think preparing food, resisting the temptation in whatever form, becoming tearful and recovering from that shows great strength from someone who is battling the disease of obesity. We have had a longstanding relationship with food, albeit one that is dysfunctional. The food we trusted in a complex way because it was always available for us when 'needed' it to manage an emotion or whatever else. We now have something new (our surgery) to support us but it may take some of us a little time to wholly trust in and work with our new surgery and depend upon it like we could our food. It is perhaps true to say that we may all experience blips in the road on this journey. You demonstrated great strength in resisting, carrying on and sharing your experience. You got this honey, and at the times you don't - we are here to lift you. Stay with it my friend and thanks for sharing xxx

I stepped on the scale this morning and saw 199! I haven’t been one-ANYTHING since I was a teenager! I’ve seen 299, 279, 249, etc… but to see 199 makes me emotional! I had VSG in September and just celebrated four months post op! Just wanted to share my little win!

My surgery was June 2nd. I have pain under my ribs on my left side. I am super fatigued, but I figured out a game to play to keep me walking. My son drives me over to the super Walmart and we walk every isle. We look for foods that I can have on a liquid diet. There is hardly anything to eat at WW. We are going to Costco tomorrow!

I have already reprogrammed my brain a bit just doing the Optifast for 4 weeks. I detoxed in a sense with all the foods I was addicted to and I don't really crave them now. What I crave is just eating solid foods and not liquids and soft foods.

When I do have some of those "bad" foods again, it won't be in the huge amounts that I used to it - because A: I will feel full sooner due to my stomach size now and B: I am learning a whole new way of eating in general.

I am never going back to what I used to be.
