hi everyone i was banded 31/08/08// im feeling great now just started soft diet and lost 14lb: pre op diet lost 10lb 1st week of liquid diet lost 4lb second week of liquid diet lost olb. im worried im going to start gaining weight as i cant have my first fill till 8th week as i had hiatas hernia repair at same time as band op. i had my surgery at dolan hospital with why go abroad anyone else?

hi, i also had a repair the same time as surgery for band the surgeon came to see me in my room to explain about hours after op, i was banded 31st aug 08 and am still in a bit of pain like a stitch under my left breast, how long before i can lift stuffand go back to work please thanks x

i was banded 31st aug 08 and also had a hiatal hernia repair at the same time im still quite breathless and this morning i woke with a stitch like pain under my left breast , please could you let me know how long befor we are able to lift and return to work my job involves lifting quite a bit thanks x

hi i have just had band fitted at bromsgrove, i was quite happy with everything. i wasn't a straight forward case when they started the op they found that i had a hiatas hernia and had to repair it so they were able to place the band i'm in quite a lot of pain and a bit fed up cos i cant return to work for six to eight weeks. day 3 post op i recieved a phone call from a hospital group nurse who checked i was ok and gave me details of future appointments that were to arrive via post in the next few days hope the rest of my wga experience goes to plan
