  1. Hi there, I'm pretty new at this myself. I got banded 8-13-08. I am getting my first fill on this Thursday. I've lost 20lbs, I wish I would have gotten my first fill 6 weeks after the surgery like the other people in my group because I haven't lost any weight for 15 days. I am still very very happy with my decision to get banded. Buy some "Gas-X" Thin Strips, and have them on hand because you will need them. Make sure you have some comfortable shoes to walk in, it really helped me with the gas pain. I don't know how much knowledge I can give you because I'm only 2 months ahead of you,. If you just need moral support or someone to talk to I'm here. Good Luck, countrygir1
  2. I was banded on 8-13 and I had the painful gas for 10 days. The pain would get really bad every time I had any liquids including water. Gas-Ex worked wonders for me. Just know that it is only temperary. I'm 18 days out and I feel great and I'm 10 lbs lighter. How do you post on this site?
