  1. Two years ago I had my lap band, I was so happy and I was losing weight and I felt great, then something happened, I started eating more and more and now I've almost gained all my weight back, I lost a little over a 100lbs and now I'm fighting with my weight again, back where I started, and I'm so depressed and sad now. I know what I did wrong and as much as I try I can't seem to go back to the way things were. I'm here because I need help and support, I feel like such a failure, sad and depressed. Guene (Bobbie) :( :sad2: :confused3: :mad3:
  2. Heart thanks a lot for your idea, I'll get some gum when I go to town next, I'm happy to hear that your doing well, I've been doing really better, so I hope I start losing weight again. Hugs Bobbie
  3. I'm still feeling like I'm hungry so I might have to go have my band tighten 1/2 more of Saline, they said to try this out and so I'll see what happens, I want to feel full like I use to, at first I always felt full, now it seems like I feel the need to get, but I also think it's partly because of stress, there is way to much stress in this house. Our daughter moved home and she is driving me nuts, I love her dearly but we moved here to retire and not become her babysitter all the time. Anyway I just need to learn how to deal with this stress and not use it as a way to eat. I thank you all for your tips, it's helping to see that I'm not alone with this. Hugs Bobbie:smile2:
  4. :wink2: Thank you both, I'm really trying not to snack, but it's really hard. I can't go back to living the way I was, I could hardly get around, thank you for answering my post. Hugs Bobbie:thumbup:
  5. I just posted the same thing, but I've gained 30lbs after losing almost 100, I had the same thing happen to me, a lot of drama in our house because our daughter and granddaughter moved back home, then Husband had hip replacement and just one thing after another and what did I do I snacked on things I knew were wrong but I couldn't stop. So last week I decided that I had to do something about this, got my band tightened and I'm trying to do the right thing, it's hard to stop old habits, and I'm a stress eater always has been. I felt so bad, so disappointed in myself, and I would sit and remember how happy I was when I lost weight, I want to feel those feelings again, so I just have to do right. And I hope you do to sweetie, I know it's hard but we both don't want to go back to where we were once right? Love and Hugs Bobbie :wink2:
  6. I haven't been here in a long time, I was doing so good lost almost 100lbs and then life changes caused me so much stress I began to eat stuff I shouldn't, in doing so I've gained 30lbs back :wink2: I'm so disappointed with myself, all the hard work and I just messed up. So I went and got my band tightened and I'm hoping I can do what I need to do and get back on track. My question is has anyone else ever did this? is it normal to slip back into bad habits? Is there any snacks that are good but are not fattening for you? I just want to get back on track and do whats right, so if you all have any thing that will help let me no, I'm so ashamed. Bobbie
  7. I'm gonna call tomorrow, thanks for answering my post. Hugs Bobbie
  8. Last Thursday I went to have my band tightened, everything seemed to be OK, but for the last 4 day's I keep throwing up, sometimes I do it with everything I eat, but sometimes if I have a shake it seems to stay down, do you think I might have gotten my band to tight?? Or do you think the band will get bigger after a while, Please answer my question. Thanks and hugs Bobbie:confused::scared2: P.S. I've lost 80lbs since 9/15/08 :scared2:
  9. Wow, Thats me alright, even now I find myself really having to ask myself why?? Thanks for the advise, Bobbie:thumbup:
  10. Melisa, Wow that's a hard one, I think the most important thing is to follow your doctors orders, and don't get discouraged if you don't lose right away, sometimes yous stay the same weight for awhile. It's gonna come off, and the way I see it is well we took years to put this on our bodies, so it might take awhile for it to come off, but slow is better, if you lose it too fast then your skin hangs and I really don't want to have another surgery for that. Be patient and follow your diet and everything will happen the way it should. Love and Hugs Bobbie:w00t:
  11. Congrats, Thats wonderful news. Hugs Bobbie:thumbup::whatchutalkingabout:thumbup:
  12. :tt2: Hello all, I've been doing good, I'm down 53 lb's now since 9/15/08 and is doing real good. I feel so much better I can't believe how 53lbs could make such a difference, but it did. There for awhile I thought I'd never feel good again, but after 6 weeks I started feeling like a new person. I'm so happy I had this surgery, I was afraid but I think it was the best thing I ever done, I wish my insurance would have paid years sooner. Love and Hugs Bobbie:thumbup::whatchutalkingabout:wub::laugh::laugh::cool2: P.S. I've had two fills since surgery too )
  13. I haven't lost any weight in 3 weeks, I had my first fill, but I think it wasn't enough, so yesterday I called my Doctor and told him, will his nurse what was going on, she said I need a fill and I think I do too. I'm getting hungry in between meals and I've noticed I can eat more food then before. I really don't want to start getting bad habit's again, so I really need to go in for this one. I'm really angry at myself for not losing any weight for three weeks now. I've also noticed that I can eat almost anything and have no trouble with it going down. Hugs Bobbie:confused::thumbup::confused::thumbup:
  14. I had my first fill last week, everything went fine, but this week my port is hurting, it's painful, it feels like it might have moved, it's sticking out a little bit. Is this normal, could it be that it came lose or that it is just still sore from the fill? I'm kinda concerned about it. If it did come lose what will they have to do?? Thank you worried Bobbie:ohmy:
  15. :blushing: I was banned on 9/15/08, I had to stay an extra day because I tore my stitches but all in all everything went well. I did get a little depressed at first but that seemed to work itself out OK. I go in on the 28th for my first 6 week checkup and my first fill. I've lost 45 lbs, 20 before the surgery and 25 after the surgery which I think is good, I'm just now starting to fill hungry again but mostly at night, so I'm sure a fill is needed at this point. So that's what been going on and one thing else, I've noticed a couple times I've felt dizzy is that normal?? Hugs Bobbie:rolleyes2::thumbs_up::smile2::sad_smile::rolleyes2:
