  1. HI ALL, Have the scale stuck (could it really need a new battery ?) :tongue2:but the slacks i bought 7 weeks ago are too loose9baggy) and the slacks I saved from before (when I kept going up in size) are also too big. got rid of more clothes, too!
  2. Congrats to all, i'm the same but have been craving salt a lot (oops) so maybe next week??
  3. Hi All, some weeks are better than others . Staying still is still SSOOO much better than a gain i'm still stuck but my BP dropped and I've been craving salt. So I retain fluid... (duh) oh well, see another doctor next week ( Have had a 'sinus infection"since the end of :sad:Feb)
  4. Mickie, There are several in the forum who have gone to Mexico. Just ask in the General Forum. Also, See AngieB2009's notes. She leaves this week. i lucked out; insurance paid for it, here in Lincoln. Do look into the after care and the fills. Good Luck
  5. Riane 226, I am not up on all the latest abbreviations but what is a MILF?
  6. Hi ,ll. Congrats AnnJones ! Any loss is a win and some pounds are harder than others! Congrats to all. Everyone is doing well! That's great!! i'm at a standstill which is OK been sick (Still) and just tired all the time. No loss, this week.(The EAster Chocolate didn't help either)- duh!
  7. Hi All, Congrats on the Losses. i'm in a slump at the moment . But at least no gain !!!
  8. Well, Am not at my goals yet but had the settings reduced on the CPAP, Have to get smaller shoes ( maybe may even get real shoes ?!) and am in smaller jeans (but still fat lady size)
  9. Angie B2009, Hi, I'm from Lincoln and see Dr. Hung. No he doesn't use the Floro all the time. He does the first few times until your stomach is smaller and the port is easier to find. Everyone is different. he will tell you when to come get fills in the office. I only had 2 fills under the floro and the 3rd in the office . Really simple, under the floro, it is an outpatient procedure, done at the surgery center near his office (no problems and less expensive) At the surg center, nurses will monitor you and make sure there is no problem. I Do recommend him- he is very good, as is his staff!!i regret taking so long to do this- he is very good. Hope this helps you.
  10. Hi all, Am still fighting another sinus infection but lost 4 # this week!! Any loss is a win!!
  11. Hi all. just updated my chart. Am at 244 this morning!!
  12. Doxie, Congrat on no longer having plus size clothing !! that is a boost!! you are doing great!! Florida Pete, Congrats on the walk, with a stroller , yet!!
  13. i don't bother with carbonated drinks but you can sip wine or a wine cooler easily. a dry white wine wouldn't be sweet.
  14. Amen, Andy is banded! You are so correct. Obesity increases the fat on/around the organs, including the liver. the pre-op diet helps deal with that as the liver must be moved to insert the band. Smaller liver makes it easier. My PCP said i had a fatty liver based on blood tests. But the surgeon had no problem . Yes, i followed the diet to the letter.
  15. Happiness1, Do go see the other surgeons! this Doctor is only concerned about his convenience, not you. I had to lose 190 # when I started . The doctor and I preferred the lap band, even when I developed health problems while waiting. Lapband statitistics show Fewer complications, with surgery and long term, than with the bypass. There are some here who had bypass and it was right for them; but if you don't want it, don't do it. BTW, there are surgeons in Omaha and Lincoln Ne who do lapband surgery- if you have to travel. I'll bet there is a Center of Excellence hospital for bariatric surgery in Des Moines, too.
  16. Pete, Congrats!!! you are doing Super !1 Soon you will need a new picture in your messages!
  17. Hey How is everyone doing? Florida Pete, Doxie, Susan1961? Any more victories? Actually gave up the seatbelt extender in this car this week.
  18. Hi All, Debi h , don't get discouraged. Everyone loses weight differently. just go over the diet and exercise instructions you have. some times even a small change such as cutting back on calories ( just a little)for a day, increasing water intake, or 1 extra set of exercises can get one off the plateau.
  19. Hi all, My weight loss goes in spurts. but had figured this ended May 1st, not June 1st.:welldoneclap: am setting my sights lower but hope to surpass them.
  20. HI, Count me in thfor the donut Day Challenge. I missed by April challenge by 3# but the scale today shows I've lost 1# more. Will myself Add to the spreadsheet
  21. Hi All, Am at 248# now. ( a very difficult 1# loss this week) Does this count for April? Goal For April is 244 ( 5#) ( I seem to set the bar too high and fail ) so lets go low and hopefully surpass it
  22. Hi All, these Non Scale victories are better than the scale victories. Went to the local WLS group Tues nite. they showed us exercises with stretch bands. The PA said these were for beginners, in the 6 months post surgery. i did them all w/o a problem. Need to ramp up my exercises; they're too easy ( Did I really say that !):smile2:
  23. Hi All, i am at 249 #, lost another 3# as of last Friday. Please add me to the chart!!
  24. HiAll, I am stuck, :sad:again and the sinus infection, etc doesn't help.. Will weigh in again before Wednesday but this may be the best I can do ( Still, an 8 #loss is good )
  25. Hi ALL, Bought a new pair of jeans Sunday ( Felt almost tight) and they hang on me when i wore them on Saturday. i am at 2X/24 My Shoes are too big ! Also walking more and my feet no longer hurt!!
