1. go for it girl, there's no reason to wait... i wish i could have had the band before i had so much weight to lose. i was 33 and at 245 when i had the band, i've lost 60 lbs by the band alone...not much effort on my part. it's changed my life and the only regret is that i did'nt have it sooner. Best Wishes

4. Janelle- Thanks, I think I figured it out. I could not get the tickerfactory to work for me. Sissi[/img]
5. Hi Sherri, I was just banded by Dr. Sanchez on 6-2 and they are all great over there. The hospital is very nice, clean and his guest house is the same. So if Dr. Sanchez or MX is what your scared about...........you should not be. The surgery really isn't bad either, I felt worse after childbirth. Well for the rest, my journey is just beginning...........I hope I made ya feel atleast a little better. Take care, Sissi
6. I give up........
7. seeing if my ticker works
8. Hi everyone! Thank God I didn't sneeze or cough for atleast 4 days after surgery.......and within 4 days I could sleep pretty comfortably on either side. Oh lastnight I had a disgusting episode......about 2 hrs after dinner I felt hungry again so i had some cottage cheese, after about 4 bites and a little water I felt the worst pressure build up in my chest......I could not burp, I could not swallow, my eyes watered up and I heaved and a burp came out but the pressure came again quickly and next time all the slimy c.c. came up and I felt much better. Has this happened to anyone else? Did I eat to fast or could it have gotten stuck? I wonder is this gas that will go away or is this just part of being banded. Sissi
9. Zexxah, My Dr. did not make me do a pre-op diet. Dr. Sanchez in Monterrey, Mx charges anywhere from 8500 to 9500 depending on which package you choose. Take a look at ready4achange.com for more info. I was pleased with my experience in MX. Reeneea, I'm still feeling the gas in my chest and back. If I take to big of a sip I burp alot also. I'm still a little soar in my stomach but feeling better everyday. LOL, Sissi
10. Thanks Cutiern, I like your diet alot better than mine...........and Barbara thanks for that reminder, I guess I forgot that one. now that I've started creamy soups I finally feel full. I stayed so hungry during the liquid stage. I feel for those that have to stay on it longer. Oh, I've lost 3 lbs.:clap2: :clap2: LOL, Sissi
11. Hi everyone, Well it's now been 7 days since surgery and I feel pretty good. I'm still having alot of gas. It's weird when I swallow liquids sometimes air has to escape my stomach before it can go down, and I'm burping alot. Anybody else feeling this? Lastnight I ate about a cup of broccoli & cheese soup and 4 bites of cottage cheese and had alot of pain in my chest afterwards. I washed everything down good with water. Reeneea and Cindy I was told by my doctor that the 1st mon. was about healing and you don't want your pouch to feel up at this time and put any pressure on the stitches. I was wondering what others were told? Good luck to those having surgery this week. LOL, Sissi
12. Hey Reeneea, Yes the gas is getter better but I still have to burp alot to finish soup or even drink. I just seem to stay hungry:hungry: all the time. This band is really teaching me to slow down when eating and drinking. Bye-Bye to inhaling food....LOL Sissi
13. Hi everyone.. just wanted to check in and let you know that surgery went well, Mx was nice and Dr. Sanchez and his team took very good care of me. The pain from surgery is not bad at all but the gas is hell. Everything that I drink has to fight gas bubbles going down...painful...and I'm hungry all the time. Out of the 5 of us that were banded that day by Sanchez only 2 of us had problems with gas....so, those of you that haven't had surgery yet, I hope I don't scare ya. I'm sure once I can eat mushies and my hunger pains go away, I'll be feeling better about all this. LOL, SISSI
14. Hi everyone, I'm flying to Mx. today...........scared of flying, first time.........PLEASE say a prayer for me. Surgery is Friday. See yall on the other side:clap2:
