  1. Thank you both for these suggestions, I do recall at my 1 month followup that my hemoglobin was low, the surgeon said that she wasn't worried at that time but I think your suggestion for labs is very appropriate. I am allowed carbs I usually have a netzero tortilla but I will try the oatmeal. I am low on proteins, the surgeon did suggest 75 grams at this point, I will also work to get those in. Perhaps I will use some protein water to add some additional protein. I hope that you all have a great day, and thank you again for your suggestions and guidence.
  2. Thank you, I am averaging between 30 and 50 grams of protein. Thank for the advice on the shots I may give those a try!
  3. I had RNY and paraesophageal hernia repair on 6/12/23, Recovery has gone well as well as weight loss but I find that my exhaustion is overwhelming. I contacted my surgeon they suggested contacting my GP, She said she's certain it's just recovery. She didn't take any labs. Is there anyone else that has been dealing with this? And if so how do you get around the exhaustion?
  4. You will do great, everything is scary at first.
  5. Protein pudding pops are a great idea! I think it is great that your surgery is moved up. You're going to do great!
  6. Hello! I am new here, I am so grateful to have found this amazing group, I look forward to meeting more individuals.. My surgery is June 12th at the University of Iowa Hospital. I am nervous and excited at the same time. I am preparing so that I have everything needed. If you have already had surgery, what is something that you wish you would have done prior or brought to the hospital with you?
