jaiitee reacted to Leo segovia in Food confusionSometimes too much info is bad. I follow what my surgery information booklet tells me. It lays out days and weekly schedule. It tells me food to eat during these times and I'm following it to the letter. I have added a copy of the guide I use. Hope it will help. It had guided me well and I only move on to my next stage only when I am ready I never get ahead of this schedule. That was the best advice I gotten from my surgeon and nutritionist and I'm greatfull for it. Best wishes on your weight loss journey. !!

I also wanted to add that I use MyFitnessPal to track my food and nutrition and it help me track my calories, carbs and salt intake.

jaiitee reacted to Old Salt in Help me with puree ideasI had no idea going in about puree either, but realized it's no big deal. I was never was a cook. I am a microwave type of guy. But I pureed a big can of white chicken meat with my little Ninja blender. Added a some light mayo, greeek yogurt, pickle relish, no flavor protein powder, and some spices and put them in little 4oz containers for the fridge. I was pleasently surprised that it tasted like a quality dip with that type of texture. I woud eat 1-2 pureee per day, the rest was yogurt, cottage cheese and of course shakes.
Puree isn't forever, just a short time to let your gut heal. I acually still like my chicken pureee delight for a snack now that I'm in my 2nd week of "soft food" phase.

jaiitee reacted to pintsizedmallrat in StrugglingI remember telling my husband about two weeks post-op, that I didn't feel like I was losing weight, I felt like I was wasting away. It WILL get better, it is very common for people at your stage of the diet to feel not-great and even regret the surgery. One day soon that will change.

jaiitee reacted to ShileeBenson in I cheated - now what?I have a question! I had my surgery on Wed and I’m so so thirsty for cold water. They said tiny sips but will I really stretch out my pouch? I’m thirsty! Do I have to take tiny little sips over and over ? And how much can I sip? I don’t want it to sit in my pouch and stretch it.
