  1. Just thought I'd say hello. I have my first appointment with a surgeon next Friday & if all goes well hope to have the VSG done mid to end of October. I made my mind up a few years ago that VSG is the procedure for me, but there did not seem to be any reliable data on long term VSG patients as originally it seemed to only be offered as the first part in a two stage op for BMI 50+ people. So VSG was used to get people to a safe weight for a bypass op. Long term data on just the VSG on it's own was not available (here anyway). But now it seems that VSG on it's own is a good solution for BMI 40+ people. Hopefully the Surgeon see it the same way :-) Peter.
