  1. I have been on pantoprazole twice daily since surgery and every time the try and decrease it to once daily my symptoms would flare. Well now I continue to be on it twice daily and my symptoms continue to get worse. So yesterday the added Pepcid, Omeprazole and Sucralfate. I am to give that two weeks and then we will decide if I need a EGD done. Barium swallow yesterday did not show anything abnormal. Frustrated and tired of feeling sick.
  2. Just curious if insurance will cover you if they want to do a revision from a sleeve to a bypass. 18 months out no weight gain buy having unbelievable GERD affecting my health.
  3. I just did the barium swallow yesterday since I am having such horrible GERD it came back okay so happy it was normal but frustrated still no answers for me. I just know that at 18 months out from the sleeve I should be able to eat without feeling sick.
  4. How far out from the sleeve did you convert to the RNY?
  5. My thoughts exactly. They are going to do a scope if the new medications don’t help.
  6. I am 18 month post op from the sleeve and have lost over 90 lbs. They said I am doing great and am at goal. I see the plastic surgeon Monday. However I do not feel so great. I had GERD before surgery and was doing great up until like 2 months ago. Now I can barely eat with out feeling sick. Constant chest pain, sour taste in my mouth and now I have been vomiting in my sleep. They started me on a bunch of new medications yesterday and I had a barium swallow test. The test did not show a hiatal hernia or reflux at that time. I feel like since that came back normal that they are not going to do anything more. I know something is not right and wondering if anyone found relief switching to the bypass and what it took to finally get help? Just want to enjoy my new self.
