  1. I self paid for my surgery because my insurance did not cover the lapband surgery. I found out later after I had paid and had the surgery that they do now offer coverage for the lapband:angry_smile: So now I'm trying to get reimbursed...wish me luck!!
  2. Hi...sorry it took awhile to answer your post, it's been awhile since I was last on. My surgery went very well, just a little soreness that lasted a couple of days. The pain was manageable so I was sorry I even got the pain medication prescription filled (LOL). My surgery was scheduled for 9:30am the morning of Aug. 12th and I was back home by 2pm that evening. I had my 1st post op w/Dr. on 8/20/08. I lost 12 pounds..YIPPEE!! My 2nd post op is on 9/10/08..I will let everyone know how much more I have lost or hope I have lost
  3. Hello Everyone...I'm a married mother of one (daughter-5yrs old). I reside in the Temple Hill are of Maryland. I'm a Legal Examiner for the Fed. Govt. I was banded on Aug. 12th. by Dr. Eric Pinnar in Reston VA. My weight at the time of surgery was 243. I have my post-op appt. tomorrow so I will know then how much weight I have lost. Although I'm fairly new, if you have any questions, please feel free to ask.
