  1. Yes Rasberry, they are gross to me. What are you doing for Protein? How do you feel in general? I feel sick sometimes because I know I am not getting enough Protein.
  2. Great job. In October I had the surgery and was 295lbs. I am now 230lbs without 1 protein shake yet. I could not drink those. So protein is tough to get in everyday but weight is coming off well.
  3. Yes eggs and deli meat was so good. I did not eat a huge amount of steak but did some days. Small bites and chewed well. I have not threw up or have not felt any nausea at all. Going very well.
  4. I ate eggs starting the 2nd week pureed diet. It agreed with me and has had no issues. I am on the 3rd week now and watermelon was so good!
  5. I 100% agree you shoukd listen to your doctors without question. I jist did it because I was jot getting any protein. Please listen to your doctors and the plan they have for you.
  6. I think if you really chew well and don't eat much, you can eat many things. We just get told this for pre caution. I will not have sugar or starches for a bit but I am having any kind of meat now 2 weeks in and had pot roast today and barbecue pulled pork tomorrow. (Sugar free). We shall see how that goes.
  7. I am fine now. I can start having eggs, lean deli meat and lean ground beef and seedless watermelon and canned peaches. That lasts 14 days and then I am open to a regular diet. The steak tips got me through this is all I am saying. Of jotbfor them I may have been a complete mess.
  8. Well I got 2 more days and I can eat a lot more things but I had steak again today but small bites and chewed well. I see no danger but they tell people that for precaution. Only thing other than eggs I am eating. I will.let you know how it goes. Trying lean ground beef in a few days.

  10. WVery true. I only did it to get some food and protein in me. I did not eat much. Thanks for the input. Started at 290 and down to 264 with pre op and 10 days after surgery.

  13. I had my surgery on Oct 20th and have had issues drinking the protein shakes(gross). So basically I have had no protein since surgery so ate some steak tips today very slowly and my stomach seems to have handled it well. I know this is not ideal but I was so weak without any protein and felt sick. I feel much better now. Anyone else eat food earlier than they were scheduled to? Thanks.
  14. I know some may think I am crazy but it is 10 days after surgery and I can't stomach protein shakes since surgery so I have had no protein until today. I had some steak tips today and cut it to shreds and seems like my stomach had no issues. Many I heard wait months before they try steak. I had to because I was feeling so weak. Has anyone else ate things earlier than they were suppose to? Thanks.
