So i perhaps just want to tell someone this, but no one here will listen...so anyway... i am going to do a 7 day total body cleanse...starting tommorow 9/21 then on October 2 i start my pre op diet....3 carnation instant shakes...and two fruits. i assume i can drink anything clear though...which i will talk to the dr about. I really want to tell my parents although i don't want to get the ignorant factor of the whole thing...for instance when i told my sister her brillient mind told me..."its easy...just cut down portions" ...i felt like saying no sh**..really?? Why didn't i think of that. I love how people who are skinny can have a say on how easy it is..

Next week i need to start the pre-op diet..but i don't know how i am going to survive and how true to it i can stay. They want me to only have 3 carnation instant breakfasts a day with two fruits. Boy oh boy...how am i going to do that? I guess i will be posting everytime i am going to eat!!! I did cut out all carbination bev. i drink only ice tea..and love it. BUT....oh boy....also... on sunday i am starting my 7 day complete body cleanse!! I am excited but nervous!:thumbup:

is there a difference between the bands? Can anyone help? I know i am getting lap band, and that is what the dr called it, although is it the same as a realize band?

I am goting pre-op on oct. 10 at 12 15 pm...then surgury on 10/17 at 8am!!!!!!

ok...i will add that to the list! it is funny...i went in there with no questions the past 4 visits...the next visit he is going to be overloaded!

i get migrain headaches...especially at TOM, the only thing that gets rid of them is excedrine migrain, can i take that med?

is there a colon cleanse pill or something? Everything i find is fiber, or fiber pills. I know fiber will help...although i am more intereged about this now. How do i go about find out about these things?

i gottcha...and where do you go for something like this? Isn't taking a laxitive basically the same thing? I would be interested in learning more about it and if insurence covers it or out of pocket, how much is it? and is there anything besides the 3 day cleanse you can do?

I guess i understand the purpose of it..but i am 26 and not confident in my own body, and that would be the ultimate embarrasment for me...which i have to get over, but still. I can deal with my own stool matter, although having someone else deal with it....um...i don't know about that one

i am sorry..that is the grossest thing...although i can understand why one would proceed with this. My concern would be the amount of pain or cramps that can and probaly will come from that..

i am suppose to go to pre-op support group meetings too...but they are at 6pm-730...the most inoportune time in the world for me, considering i work until 7. It meets the second thursday of the month. I guess i completely understand the reason for them. Each time i go to the dr. they asked if i went to the meetings, they don't even know if i went or not..perhaps tell them i did? I look at this website as a great source for a support group. If i am feeling down or things just aren't working for me and i need more help, then sure i will go, but required meetings that are at dinner time....that doesn't work for me...i have a husband, 4 dogs, 4 ferrets, and a cat i need to care for when i come home.

as for pictures...great idea for monthly pictures. Being a shy person...THANK GOD FOR DIGITAL camara's!!!

oh as for the recliner...we have one of those! It just would have taken me a long time to figure out to sleep on that...so thanks for that one!

i know i am going to have to talk to dr about this, but is it an absolute no no to have excedrine migrain pills? I get headaches (he knows that part) and nothing seems to touch them except excedrine migraine meds. I feel like i OD on tylonal...4 doesn't touch my headaches

going on a pre op diet, does that include jello and all of those? I was told to only have 3 carnation instant breakfasts and 1 fruit!! That is it!! But all of those count as a free drink right?

Hey all...so i have heard a lot of things to get and not to get when on the pre-op diet, and post op. Please take your time and add to this post on what things need to be purchsed. So far: 1. Gas-x disolvable strips 2. easy slip on clothing 3. (female obviously) wireless bra 4. Clear liquids 5. (my dr. said) Carnation instant Breakfast...different flavors... and what else???

Just curious, if turning your body can kink the tubing with the band, then why would somone what to continue with this. All i see is people complaining that the port detached, the port is facing the wrong way, the tubing is kinked...if it is inside of you why wouldn't you ask for it to be tacted into place? Is it even possible? That would make me nervous if my own normal movements could cause such a problem

The white dog is our great dane, long sob story about her. She is deaf and night blind too, the sweetest dog anyone will ever meet. She is better trained than any hearing dog! Her name is Jazmine. The cat..well...she is a pain in the fanny, her name is crystal. Titan (mastiff) and Crystal used to be best friends, when titan was little he used to carry the kitten around in his mouth gently....then he wasn't gentle any more..lol. But kitty now loves the big white dog...jazmine.

He definitly is a wet mouth...you know...i thought drool was horrible..but...wait until your dog gets kennel cough. I love the drool....the boogers are SO MUCH WORSE!!!

Thank you...he is a goof ball!! he goes through the zoomies...and runs in circles...he is sooo funny. I also have a great dane and a belgian malinois too...the belgian was originally boarding with me, then the owners called me last month and asked me to euthanize her because they didn't want her any more!!!! So we kept her too....we also have 4 ferrets, and a cat...and right now we have 3 other dogs boarding with us...so we are crazy with dogs right now!!! We have a cockapoo...jack russel mix, and a shar pei pup too. So we have 6 dogs at our house!!!
