  4. Nice--I am almost 9 years out -- I haven't had a coke.dr pepper/7 UP/rootbeer since Dec of 2014. About 2 or so years after, went to a football game and was craving a coke. Hubby had one--so I took a very teeny tiny sip---YUCK!!! So syrupy!! Also have not drank a diet coke/dr pepper/7up, etc since prior to surgery. That sweetener isn't any better!! That is honestly one thing I do NOT regret not having anymore. AND--I'm a high school school teacher--anyone else that is one knows we often have donuts in the lounge- All I have to do is open the box and sniff---that's honestly enough for me~! Life changes is what this is all about!! MUCH BETTER than where I was prior to surgery!!
  5. Hi!! Brand new to this forum! Was wondering: I had my gastric bypass in December of 2014. I have lost 120ish pounds and have NOT gained back (it's a life change--not a "miracle!' I have a few questions. 1--the past 2-3 years my hemoglobin has dropped to a 7 (January) and 8 (a month ago.) I've been recently referred to a specialist-in which I go on the 20th of this month. Has anyone had this problem? BTW--extremely addicted to Sonic ice!! haha. 2--are gastric bypass patients still supposed to wait 30 minutes after eating to drink anything? I know we had to in the beginning. Asking these questions because my dr who performed the surgery (in Texas, btw) - I didn't see him but maybe 2 times post-surgery. (LONNNGGGGG STORY!) What does anyone think? PS--I've still kept the weight off--and have even lost a couple of pounds the past year. Thx!! 2--
