    *Waves*

Hi everyone, I'm very new here, so i'd like to say hi and please bear with me while i find my way around. I'm based in the UK and looking at going to Brussels, Belgium or Lyon, France for Lap-band surgery. I want to make sure it's the right thing for me and also find the best possible surgeon, hence all this research! I'm looking forward to sharing everyone's experiences, good and bad, and offering my support where i can. Jenny.x

    hello from the uk

I'm really shocked your service provider is allowing you to continue this way. Have you considered going public...? It's amazing what some NHS Trusts will do if you threaten them with negative publicity... i know, i work for one. It means revealing personal facts (i'd say WLS was a pretty personal thing) but if you are prepared to publish the details, it will make the service provider look so bad it may spur them into action. Just a thought! I too am a member of wlsinfo.org and am getting very frustrated with the tecnical problems. However, i;ve heard the moderator is, so i will be patient. Still glad i joined, i'm met some lovely people through the chat room when i can get on.

    Breasts (women only)

Hi All, I will definitely need an uplift when (if) i loose the weight. I need a lift NOW, so i can only dread what they'll lool like when they've lost the volume. It's so not fair, i'm only 26 but have the boobs of a 50 year old. Boo! How do you go about finding the right surgeon? I'm in UK but due to prohibitive costs i will be seeking surgery in Europe. Anyone got any recommendations?

    Dr Focquet

Hi, I've just booked a consultation with Dr Focquet. He is registered with the British GMC and also does consultations in London. This is a big plus as it means i will meet the surgeon & talk it over before travelling/ effectively committing myself. Dr Focquet comes to London once or twice a month for fills and post=op care, wich is another huge boon. He is now independent of Elyzea (but clcilling his commitments by operating htrough them until May, i believe). I contacted him through www.gastricband.org - they run the London side of things and seem nice so far.
