I found it hardest when I wasn’t using my allowed calories(my stomach felt like it was going to eat itself ?). My doctor said no more than 1200 calories, so I decided to use them. I stick to the general breakfast, lunch, and dinner schedule. When I get moderately hungry I’ll have a protein shake. So far I haven’t gone over 1100 calories.

I haven’t told work anything yet. I plan to take a couple of days off but start working from home as soon as possible. I know that it will be tough to not really take time off but there really isn’t a good time of year to take off (I don’t want to wait until next summer).

I checked and they can’t move my surgery any earlier, so August 2nd is it. They will remove the band and convert to the sleeve during the same surgery.

Hi, I too am a band to sleeve revision. I just got insurance approval today so they put me tentatively with a surgery date of August 2nd. I’m also an educator and start back to work on Monday. I’m really nervous about missing work so close to the beginning of the school year. I think I’m going to see if they can move the surgery up a little. I’ve already started the pre op diet so hopefully the doctor will agree.
