I'm meant to be on 20th July for a Roux NY and a hiatal hernia repair. Fingers crossed! as it's been postponed three times already lol

Hi Stacy. I really wanted the sleeve! but so many people are having the revison to the bypass after the sleeve. It's because they are having issues with acid reflux. When I had my EDG I had bile in my stomach (acid reflux) I never thought I had it but I did! SO to keep all the problems at a minimum, she advised me that I could still do whichever one but recommended the gastric bypass.

Oh makes sense! I have major acid reflux issues now.. I know bypass is a little more invasive but really.. if their in there they might as well do it all. I really don’t want to go through 2 surgeries myself.. ? You’re making the right choice. I’m going to ask the Dr this week then. Thanks for replying ?

Hi Bariatric fam...my date changed to 7/27! They had me down for the sleeve but I switched to the full bypass! Where are my sister/brother buddies!!

Hey y’all! New here…surgery is 7/18 and I’m getting nervous as I start the pre-op diet MONDAY!!! Im nervous it will be excruciating and/or I won’t be mentally strong enough.
When do you all start your pre-op diet?

Mine is scheduled for July 11!
