    Thank you both for the replies! So frustrating because I have contacted my surgeon. He recommended the Gas X and that was it but something really doesn’t feel right.

    Hello, I got RNY about two months ago. Overall things have been going well. However, for the past three days I have had a really strange sensation that won’t go away. It feels like something is stuck at the base of my throat. I have tried Gas X to relieve the sensation but it is not working. It almost feels like it’s difficult to swallow. Has this happened to anyone else?

    Hi everyone! I am 8 days post op gastric bypass. I think I’m doing pretty well. However, I had a few friends tell me that drinking fluids would be difficult. They said I’d probably only be able to take small sips for the rest of my life. But, I can get fluids down really easily. I don’t gulp or chug, but I can take pretty large sips and I have no discomfort or pain… does this mean something is wrong with my pouch?
