  1. Wow, I didn't realize how hard it would be to sleep through the night. The most I can sleep is 3 hours at a time. My doc prescribed gabapentin (spelling?) and said it would cause drowsiness. Maybe I need to try taking it before bedtime.
  2. Thanks!!! I was able to get 34 oz of liquids down today. Aiming for more tomorrow.
  3. Hi@FierceFire. I hope this gets better for you before you start back at college. I'm also starting back to college on the 22nd. I'm scheduled to get some IV fluids tomorrow (day 3 post-op). I'll let you know if that helps.
  4. I hope everything resolves itself soon so that you can go home. Sending good thoughts your way.
  5. Thanks@Crisscat! I was the opposite. I was so quiet and spacey on my surgery day. All went well and I'm home now recovering.
  6. Same with my bladder!!!! It's finally decided to wake up but it had me worried for a few hours at the hospital until I asked.
  7. I'm not sure if my mandarory pre-op liquid diet helped me physically prepare. The jury's still out. It has done a number on my mind though. I keep thinking "How can I go that long without eating solid food". I'm on post-op day 2 and I really wish I could have some homemade waffles or a sandwich. I'm not even hungry....just tired and feeling crappy during recovery. I see why so many people suggest therapy.
  8. Congrats!!! You've done am amazing job. Keep us posted on your success! I love reading success stories.
  9. Yes! Lots of spasms and some unwelcome hiccups. I'm on day 2 post op now and seeing less of those.
  10. I'm so sorry@Michelle1.0! I hope they are able to get it resolved soon!
  11. Yes@karakent! I had headaches for a few days and was really fatigued at the end of each day.
  12. Good luck to everyone having surgery today! You've got this.
  13. I'm so sorry your surgery got delayed. Also, that's a bummer that you already started on the liquid diet too. I hope they get it figured out fast!
  14. [emoji1787][emoji1787][emoji1787] Thanks for the laugh. I'm on day 4 and I'm tired and cranky so I feel ya.
  15. Yes! I've had so many feelings dredged up this last week. Good luck and I'll be sending you good thoughts on 8/8!
  16. Thank you! And I agree, the liquid diet is no fun.
  17. Yay! I'm so excited for you. Sending good thoughts your way for surgery tomorrow.
  18. Yes, same here. I'm counting the days and it is all I talk about.
  19. This was the best thing to read today! I hope my surgery and recovery goes smoothly too.
  20. Wow! You're right there on almost the same time line! Thanks for the encouragement. I'll definitely be posting updates.
  21. I knew I wanted the surgery the moment I booked my first consultation in April. I've been so stir-crazy and anxious. I'm 38 and have been overweight for about 30 of those years. Someone else mentioned to do all the research you can while waiting and I wholeheartedly agree. It gives you something to look forward to and knowing more makes it less scary.
  22. My surgery is scheduled for 8/8. I'm hungry from the liquid diet and nervous about the procedure. I am also getting restless and ready to have the surgery as soon as possible. I've been so sure about this surgery since April when I booked my first consultation. Anyone else feeling the same way?
  23. Wow! Way to go! I saw some of the things you bought and it inspired me to buy them also....like the cheddar broccoli soup and liquid protein. I've been trying to do liquids until dinner to prepare for my full liquid diet.
