mizzkp reacted to ShoppGirl in Weirdest None-Scale-Victory - I'll go firstGood for you. I am so jealous. Even at 179 I can’t handle heels. I guess I am lucky I am on the taller side cause I can Only wear them if I am going just to dinner or somewhere I will not be walking too much in them. My husband laughs at me because I just collect them even though I rarely wear them. Lol

mizzkp got a reaction from lala76 in VSG with no ThyroidHope everything went well with your surgery. I lost 9lbs prior to surgery so I have really lost 31 since surgery. I’m working on not being so hard on myself. I have noticed frequent stalling but at least the scale is moving down and not up. I look forward to hearing about your progress please keep us posted.

mizzkp reacted to liveaboard15 in Absolutely hate myself nowI remember your first post saying the same thing and you never really explained why you feel this way. Is it because you cant eat like you use to? I mean i had surgery last month. I partly regret it. Because food was so enjoyable and was a big part of my daily life. I would wake up and first thing i thought of is where am i going to get a delicious breakfast, Lunch time comes around i would be like OOoo lets get tacos or mcdonalds or whatever and same with dinner and now i cant do that anymore and it is depressing at times especially when everyone in my house orders pizza or made some awesome bbq that i cant have. But eventually once we are healed up good. We can have many of those things again but just much smaller portions. BUt why do you feel this way?

mizzkp reacted to suzannethemom in Recent Injury RantYESSSS, refried beans are at the top of my list! I love Mexican food too. I can’t wait to have a chicken enchilada when I get to regular foods.

mizzkp got a reaction from SleeveToBypass2023 in Recent Injury RantThanks so much everyone! I will look up upper body exercise on YouTube. That should be easy to do in my living room.

mizzkp reacted to lizonaplane in Recent Injury RantI'm sorry that happened! It's so frustrating, I know. I had just started exercising and met with a trainer and immediately got biceps tendinitis and only now months later am I able to do upper body work again. But, like others said, you can do other forms of exercise for now, and your toe will heal. The positive thing is that you WANT to work out!
On a side note, you will still lose weight even if you don't exercise since you just had surgery. I barely exercised for the first 6 months or so after surgery, and I still lost a ton of weight. Exercise is very important for general health and for maintaining weight loss, but really, losing weight is all about eating better. You can't outrun a bad diet!

mizzkp reacted to Grider in Recent Injury RantLemons ? So let’s make lemonade? Turn on the musics and dance. Even if sitting down. Just do it where it’s safe and it does not hurt. There are many routines you can do with the help of a sturdy chair. It won’t be long - you will bounce back. I just started and hurt my back with Zumba. I’m ok now and will try something else until I’m string enough.

mizzkp reacted to ShoppGirl in Recent Injury RantThis doesn’t have to be an end to your weight loss. I’m sorry that happened. That reminds me of when I was losing weight the natural way during COVID and I kept getting blisters or thigh chafing, etc causing setbacks in my routine. They suck but they are only temporary.

mizzkp reacted to Spinoza in Recent Injury RantAw that's such bad luck to hit a totally unrelated setback when you were doing so well! You're absolutely entitled to a bit of a wallow. You know this isn't the end though, just a blip. Upper body workouts for the next couple of weeks? I hope you recover really soon.

mizzkp got a reaction from lala76 in VSG with no ThyroidI didn't have my thyroid removed but was diagnosed with hashimotos two years ago and rapidly put on weight. I am 7 weeks post op today and I have lost 40 pounds since surgery. I do think my weight loss seems slower compared to others but I just said to myself today that this is the best I have felt in two years and that makes this whole process completely worth it.
