  1. Ya know...I awlays got the "you have a really pretty face comment". I never thought it was bad...but recently I realized it wasn't the greatest comment... I won't miss... being ashamed of buying a candy bar at the check out the embarrasment of bending over (once I bent over at work and someone shouted GOOD GOD THE FULL MOONS A RISIN') Going to stand up and the plastic patio furniture being stuck to my large behind Being afraid of STINKING all the time from all the sweating I do!!!
  2. I'm a 19 year old mother. I've always been overweight, even as a small child, but after the birth of my son I gained about 45 extra lbs. I was in ROTC in High School, and I desperately wanted to lose weight, I wanted to be able to do the physical activity everybody else was doing and I wanted to keep up. SO I tried every diet imaginable, signed up at the gym, was running at home on my own, and I lost 27 lbs and I just came to a stand still, I wasn't losing anything. I got so frusterated with it!! Now that I've graduated high school I still want to be able to do all that physical activity, I still want to reach my goal. I know that if I don't do something drastic, then I'm never going to get where I want to go. Not to mention I'm borderline diabetic, and have a lot of other health issues that are going to be following that. I think the most recent thing that made me look at the lap band is that I have a knee problem, I keep popping it out of place and it interupts my whole life. I can't work, clean, cook, and most importantly I can't take care of my son! I know that I have to do something, and I have to do it NOW!
