  1. Good morning ladies, how is everyone doing post surgery?

  3. Good morning everyone; praying all is well with you. I wanted to share something with all of you; Yesterday, my wife and I took our grandson out to lunch. I ordered a burger (not fast-food) and shake.... after eating the food that I shared with everyone, I only had half; I began to have that "dumping feeling". i had the sweats and headache. So yes, after 13 years since the surgery, I still have to watch what I eat. This new life is lifetime.
  4. Good morning; yes, your taste buds will change. You will start to have weird cravings, then, they'll dissipate. The most important thing to do is keep moving. The more you walk, the better your surgery will be.
  5. Yes, just click on the "Quote" tab, and then reply to that thread. I hope that helped
  6. Good morning everyone, I just wanted to encourage all of you today, and remind you, please continue to walk, walk, walk. Walking will help with clotting, and will help improve your circulation. And don't forget to sip, sip, sip those fluids. NO carbonation at all and no straws. Enjoy your day.

  8. Not sure if they told y'all.... NO STRAWS!!!!!! Straws will add gas to your insides... I haven't used a straw since my surgery on August 1, 2007
  9. sip, sip, sip... do not gulp, or else you WILL dump. sip, sip, sip... and NO straws
  10. Your taste will completely change. You will eventually have cravings, but they will subside. Just stay off the grease and sugar... you don't want to dump.... Not a good feeling...

  14. Good morning everyone, how are you doing today? For those who had their surgeries in April, how are you making out?
  15. I know you are upset, but rest assured, when the time comes, you'll be ready.
  16. As a pastor, I've had many people who surgery was postponed and they couldn't understand why.... Well, it's a blessing that you have more time to drop the weight before surgery. This will help with your sleeping and overall health. Continued prayers to you and your family. And great job on the house cleaning... Pastor Tracy

  20. I had the RNY in '07, with your other issues, that is why they are giving you a nurse. Take it, it's free... lol. You'll be fine

  23. No, it is not unusual, it's a good thing. Depending on your type of surgery, you may have a drain ball, and may need assistance in maintaining it. I had a PNA and I appreciated everything she did for me. Feel free to ask, that's why we're here.
  24. You won't need your c-pap, they'll regulate your levels for you (or a least they should). Praying for a healthy and new you.... Happy New-Birthday

  30. As you prepare for tomorrow, just do what the doctors say, and walk, walk, walk. Whatever you do, walk. Blessings to you
